Know of a hub motor controller compatible with KS18xl?

I'm working on a mod project and I am considering rewiring the motor of the ks18xl to be controlled by a throttle, but I'm not familiar with this kind of thing.

Is there a way to connect a throttle into the motor directly or would I have to do it thru a hub motor controller like on electric scooters (essentially what I'm making)

If so... Would I have to find a controller that works at 84volt?  I imagine I'd have to connect the motor and the batteries to the new controller, and the throttle to the new controller also.

Does anyone know of a controller that can do that?  Most seem to only go up to 72v.  That would pop if I used the ks18xl 1554wh batteries, right?

Thanks, that is kind of what I've been looking at.

I found one that does 4000w at 84v but I was afraid that might overwork the motor, since it's not rated at 4000 constant output.

I am probably going to go with a 3000w also.

Glad to know I'm not the first guinea pig ;)

I think absolutely no problem controller up to 4 kW..

The main problem - software and tuning of parameters. In my controller about 20 params of rigidity, finding by hands during few monthes..)).

Another problem - gyro-sensor position and tuning..

So - good luck on the hard path..
