Jia Liu
Not sure if anyone else has done it, but after struggling with MSuper Pro's handle for so long, I decided to give V5 handle a try. Just finished the installation, preliminary garage test looks very promising. I will test it on a real trail in next few days, finger crossed. The metal wires, which loops through the pedal hanger, take most of the load. I added lots of paddings to prevent the shell from getting damaged. Jia Liu
Rode the wheel on a trail today, the new handle is a total joy to use. Especially when walking down a steep decline, the handle naturally pulls the wheel backwards. Big success!
VolcanoSurfer
Clever idea! I could probably do this same thing on my old Msuper v2. Any way to distribute the load better on these is worth a try. My friends’ KingSong 18xl recently started shaking and soon became un-rideable. After taking the whole thing apart we eventually realized that cracks in the plastic case along where it is secured to the pedal hangers. The cracks were barely visible but that tiny amount of flex transferred all the way up to the control board at the top of the case and caused it jerk back and forth. Luckily they had come out with a new, better reinforced version of the casing. After install, It’s back to riding like it’s young again and should be ready for a few thousand more miles, especially if we can keep the new case from cracking again.
VolcanoSurfer
I’ve just decided that I need to make a handle for my old gotway too. I should be able to find something that I can tape, wire and glue on that will work. I like the curved style handle you put on. I can imagine that it would help the wheel glide along perfectly. Good job!
