Kingsong S18 suspension grinds

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

Happy owner of the S18 since almost a week now, I’ve been riding it on circle lanes and dirt roads. After like 60 km, the suspension (I wouldn’t say exactly say which part of it) started to grind.

A video to illustrate the issue:

I can’t believe I’m the only one to experience such a behavior.

Does that append to you guys? What should I do? Grease would only allow more dirt stick around... ?

Otherwise I’m enjoying my new wheel like hell, what a beauty, what a mechanic :)

Nrv ;)

You're not the only one with S18 suspension problems. I remember someone that had two parts of the linkage arms rubbing against each other. Check out other suspension problems and possible solutions here:

You can either return it within warranty, or replace the bearings and follow the other steps shown and discussed in the above link...

Sounds like your washer grinding suspension arms, have you take out that big washers on the outside of middle linkage arms?if not you can refer to suspension overhaul thread..

I had the same problem; I solved using a silicone lubricant, specifically WD40 Specialist High Performance Silicone Lubricant.
S18 is a wheel that needs some regular maintenance!

Yesterday I had the same noise happen to me. I lubricated with WD40 Specialist dry lubricant with PTFE and the noise disappeared. Next step is to remove the big washers.
