Kla
Hi! I found unbranded inmotions on a local second-hand marketplace, what are these? My guesses so far are: - the infamous third shift/ghost shift in Chinese factories - prototypes - stuff that failed quality control and got repackaged anywayhttps://www.leboncoin.fr/sports_hobbies/1771357794.htm/https://www.leboncoin.fr/sports_hobbies/1822743419.htm/https://www.leboncoin.fr/profil/8c938fe1-4ab8-45ed-8f35-019ada452904/offres/ Does anyone know more about what these are, where they come from? Normal you need some sort of registration when activating an Inmotion wheel. If this is and Inmotion or just used parties to make it look like that I can't tell. But selling without warranty or proof of purchase then it could be anything. Being 14' I think the only wheel that comes close is V5f (I don't recall V5 specs but I have a hunch it was lower top speed). It could be a solo wheel too as it is similar to Inmotion before they merged. In the end of the day who know without any documentation. And due go this I would never touch this. It is about trust in what I ride. If I don't know what it is. How would I know its performance limits, expect quality (no periodisk issues, bugs, service history, state of battery). There is simply too many alarm bells no matter the price imo. This is something from before I started to ride EUC. And I started on a V8 (a 16" wheel). AtlasP
Neat find/utterly bizarre, but definitely in the V5/Glide 2 family. Also definitely wouldn't trust it. Although for so cheap as a super low-speed learner wheel to beat the hell out of or let your friends do so while learning at ~15km/h, that would minimize the risk to ride. Bigger risk/concern then would just be risk of fire when charging it/keeping it in your house. Edited August 25, 2020 by AtlasP
