Popular Post mrelwood
We finally got a good amount of snow in Finland. Pushing the V11 with the IRC SN-26 back and forth on ice with my hand, I noticed that there is no grip to mention. The SN-26 works well on thin snow whether packed or fluffy, but I wanted to get all the grip I could, so I installed the studded CST C-186. What a difference! The C-186 rolls over bumps of snow, slush, and even icy patches like it was summer. It also handles deep mud much better. The difference really is quite large for the deeper winter weather. As always, there are drawbacks. the C-186 has a larger diameter, which makes acceleration and braking requiring slightly more effort. It also more noisy, and results in a shorter range per charge. Is it worth it though? For me, absolutely! For lighter winters, possibly not, depending on your riding preferences.
UniMe
@mrelwood I really appreciate these reviews, it's super helpful to have the perspective of a full sized person. I actually steered away from the V11 initially, and went with an RS HT as my second wheel. Who knows, perhaps I'll eventually sell the XL and get one of these. AND the leather pants kill me bro you're one stylish f'n dude on the EUC!
