Ninebot One uneven turning angle

My Ninebot One E has been acting funny ever since I updated to 1.2.7, when it turns left the unit is leveled and everything is fine but when it turns right, the unit leans forward excessively. I tried riding it backward and the same thing happens. I called the Ninebot service centre today and they told me an engineer will be calling me shortly which I doubt. The girl told me that 1.3.0 is out and maybe you should upgrade..... yeah right.

I have calibrated the unit a few times but that ...... wait a minute, the engineer just called me! He told me to upgrade to see if 1.3.0 will help and if it doesn't then 'they will find a way to make it work, including sending me a new board'.

Well then I will update the firmware tonight and see if it helps. I was laughing at the guy when he told me to upgrade and he immediately said, "don't worry, this one is fine! I am the engineer and I know." So they do know what the problems are but obviously they are still working on different solutions.

What I don't like about 9bot is that there are a few problems every now and then.

What I like about them is that at least they standby their products, that I respect.:)

I honor you to be the first person in this forum to be called upon by the Engineer himself. This call is only for the privileged few. :)

I'm having the same problem with my IPS Lhotz 340

it's only noticeable when trying to make very tight circles.

As I was always driving the same side forward (battery cap side, as this comes loose evertime), I though it was because of my bad knee that I couldn't turn as tight on that side.

Not paying attenion what side was front, I suddenly notided that the bad side had switched  when switching the EUC frontside to the back.

With some extra testing, and paying attention, I've come to realise there's a small difference in resistence between the two pedals also when riding in a straight line.

My reseller has no clue, still no answer from IPS after 2 weeks.

As I'm leaving for abroad a couple of weeks shortly, and the reseller is on vacation by the time I get back, I can only have it checked out beginning of January, but I'll let you know if IPS come up with a potential explanation.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok, the new board is back and it is a green PCB with a C+ marking on the box. But I guess they are all the same and the firmware only identify the unit by its serial number.

Updated the serial to its original number and activated the board with the engineer. Problem gone! Now both left and right turns banks at the same angle!
