With about 50-miles under my belt, in my opinion suspensions will become the new standard within a year, like 3-inch tires are the new standard.

The V11 suspension is amazing - I love it. You still feel all the bumps but the harshness is eliminated

So is this a slight "I like the V11" I am hearing?

Well just an odd question how is the walking speed riding on the V11? Let's say compared to KS18L/XL or KS16X? I think the Z10 and KS16X is very easy to ride slower than walking speed. Where the KS18L is a bit harder, it stakes more effort to balance.

The V11 is very well balanced and is easy to ride slow.

Is it really a surprise that I like a variety of wheels? I'll probably love the S18 too.

Sorry, I'd never be able to say that - rather bold statement.

But the V11 is groundbreaking and I'm loving the wheel. I'm not prepared to say any wheel is the best ever made. There is no perfect wheel, only great wheels for specific use cases.

Took the V11 to Griffith Park for a demo. Had a nice turnout and I think everyone liked it. Afterwards we took a ride around the park. Here we are at the top of one of the peaks at Sunset

It is very easy to ride the V11 slow, it reminds me of the Mten3 and the Z10.

Wow, looks like the V11 is a winner! I expected it to be comfortable and smooth, but looks like is also really powerful. Looking forward to overheat hill.

Not a direct comparison, but do you like the Sherman or the V11 more now that you tried both? Whatever "like" means?

Totally different beasts. I love the Sherman for the tank like quality, super stability, and extreme range. It's only going to go on trails like in this last video.

The V11 is a total blast on crappy trails. You can ride fast on trails with ruts, rocks, etc. and it's just plain fun, without beating up your legs. It's actually fun to aim for the potholes.

So I love them both for totally different reasons.

Full Range Test

I completed my range test with the pre-production V11, which I believe has the 1420wh battery configuration.

I achieved ~48-miles which I think is respectable for this wheel. At the speeds I was riding (18 to 20mph) I never experienced tilt-back or beeping to slow me down, even below 15% battery. However, there we some issues which left me unimpressed with it's low battery behavior.

Somewhere just shy of 15% battery the wheel rapidly (<3 seconds) shutdown. The headlamp dimmed, the wheel started beeping, and extreme tilt-back kicked in. All at about 18-mph. A bit of a harrowing episode. A less experienced rider would have easily fallen off the wheel with potential dire consequences. Many of us know that KingSong can have less the subtle tilt-back, the Inmotion's level of tilt-back is extreme. Here's a picture of the tilt-back level that was kicked-in by the control board.

I've received confirmation from a production V11 owner that this level and aggressiveness of tilt-back occurs on the production wheels too.

So with Inmotion, 15% actually equates to 0% because it's impossible to ride much below 15%. I can't emphasize how disappointed I am with this behavior. I don't often ride my wheels down to this level, but I do. And particularly with a smaller battery wheel such as the V11. I advise all V11 owners to be extremely careful when riding your wheel near the 15% level.

There is a app switch that you can throw, when the battery is very low, that looks to give you 15% more battery. When I toggled this mode on my pre-production wheel the battery level did indeed jump to ~30%, but it had zero practical effect. The wheel was still stuck in the mode shown in the picture above. Cycling the power on the V11 multiple times had no effect.

I had to walk the wheel home for ~1-1/2 miles in the condition shown in the picture above. When I first cycled the power, it went from tilting-back to tilting-forward, and it remained in that configuration. So I had to trolley it backward with the trolley handle in a very uncomfortable position which tended to push the rubber handle off the handle. Also, the motor had high resistance, so it didn't really assist me. Basically a miserable experience.

I let @Liam Zeng (Inmotion) know about my experiences. Whether any changes will be made is an unknown.

So that's the only downside. Otherwise, I was very happy with the battery performance of this wheel. A solid 45+ mile wheel at ~19mph with a rider's weight of 177-pounds.

All i can say is Wow and what an utter shame it didn't let you complete the range test with go home mode which read 33% battery left, you could of got another 15 miles on top of the 48👍so 60+ miles 😊

 If it's 1420wh it's even more impressive what range you got 👍

The tilt back can be fixed with a firmware update

Did you look at euc world app what was the battery percentage on there after enabling the go home mode

Sudden quick tiltback is not good, maybe some warning beeps and gentle tiltback so there is time to stop could be in the next firmware update? 

I'd rather not have a go home mode and just have speed reduced through beeps down to empty like a gotway. I don't like the "flighty feeling my kingsong has when the battery is low, I prefer to just listen for the beeps on my gotway. 

That wheel probably had another 5 miles of 18mph cruising left in the tank and another 5 of limping before it would have been done. Pretty impressive if they fix the low battery behavior. 

The way it is now just seems dangerous. What if you were going 25 and hit an incline, the voltage drop could trigger this "get off me" behavior!

Thanks Stephen. It would be great to hear if the Go Home mode works on a production wheel. Duf doesn't believe in going below 25% but maybe someone else can try. They do need to upgrade to the latest firmware.

I did not try EUC World at that stage of the ride. I did compare EUC World against the Inmotion app a few times during the ride and the numbers always matched.

I have very limited range in my ankles because of a motorcycle accident, and that tilt back would have thrown me off the back for sure.

I just wondered if the hidden battery percentage shown up on euc world 

Can't you go do it all again😁

@Marty Backe do you think there is a chance we can get a toggle in the app to disable the go home function have it act like a normal wheel? 

Maybe it's just what I'm used too getting in the way but I'd rather the wheel just ride to empty like all the other ones.....with much slower tiltback, or better yet beeps as a warning before tiltback.

I think the go home mode is a good feature as long as they fix the quickness of the tiltback beforehand , then when you activate go home mode you know you've got to take it steady I'm sure Inmotion said it's fixed to 25kph( maybe) but if it really was at 33% battery there's still alot in the tank so maybe that's to early ,20% would be better but then again it depend how far you are from home 😂
