ETA has been a moving target, but the latest from my communication with Gotway has been production will start this week. One other member here commented they heard the second week of November. Right now they are producing the EX, so whenever they're done with that they'll move on to the Pro. There a couple guys from Hong Kong testing the wheel right now. Initially reactions are the torque feels good. Breaking is also good. The wheel is heavy and requires using your body weight a lot more at higher speeds.

Believe me I love ewheels, I am a HUGE supporter and fan, and take nothing away from them, their service and support is top notch. Im just stating open market prices which are always relevant to us. Having several choices as consumers keeps the market healthy.
Michael Tucker
Also a few years ago there was a 25% U.S. tariff on Chinese imports and eWheels said they had to charge for that. Since that increase, I have not seen their prices go down.

Popular Post EUC Addict
What we know about Gotway's Monster Pro electric unicycle Will electric unicycles (EUC) ever get too big? Gotway pushes the limits with its new Monster Pro. The wheel weighs a whopping 99 lbs., and has the biggest production battery at 3600Wh. The 3500W hollow bore motor sits in a 24" wheel, significantly reducing the approach angle for a smoother ride. Everything about this wheel is big. It's even got a big price tag—$3,590*, but this wheel didn't materialize from nothing. It comes from a long line of Monsters. Monster History The Monster Pro is the seventh iteration of the Gotway Monster lineup, and to learn more about the origins of this beast, I turned to the EUC community for help. YouTuber Hsiang Lin directed me to Chris Yim. "[Chris] is the keeper of EUC history," Lin said. Yim has owned 19 EUC's. That makes him an EUC connoisseur in my book, and his knowledge of Monster history did not disappoint. The Monster V1 was released end of 2016 with a 1600W motor set in a 22" wheel and an optional 84v 1600Wh or 2400Wh battery. Marty Backe, long time YouTuber and organizer of the annual SoCal EUC Tour, was one of the first to receive the Monster V1 in the U.S. Almost a year later the Monster V2 was released. Gotway replaced the 1600W with a 100v 1845Wh battery and kept the 84v 2400Wh. According to Backe, other improvements in the V2 included “more robust motor wiring and control boards.” The V2 release wasn’t without its hiccups though. The initial release of the new 100v maintained the older model’s 1600W motor. Gotway quietly rectified this after its release with an upgraded 2000W motor, Yim explained. Gotway waited two years before releasing the Monster V3 in 2019. The V3 remained relatively the same with some structural updates to the shell, added under-handle lift switch, brighter headlight, and Bluetooth speakers among other things. The Monster remained the largest production wheel for a little over three years until rumors began circulating in the EUC community that there was a new kid on the block--Veteran Sherman. Veteran, comprised of former Gotway employees, promised a tank like wheel with a 100v 3200Wh battery, 2500Wh motor, and 20" wheel. And they delivered. The Sherman turned out to be an incredible long range, high performance wheel. Shortly after the Sherman was announced, Gotway released renders of the Monster Pro, advertising a 100v 3600Wh battery, 4000W motor, and 24" wheel. Gotway later dialed back the motor specs to 3500W and projected an August delivery date for the U.S. It's November, and Gotway still hasn't started production of the Monster Pro, but Gotway representatives are hopeful production will begin within the first half of November. A demo wheel is coming soon, according to eWheels owner Jason McNeil, "We're expecting to receive the first sample unit in the next couple weeks." Of course the demo wheel will make the usual rounds amongst the various YouTubers after it arrives. (Read more)

Just keep in mind the the current monster's tire is actually 23.2" outer diameter and the new Monster Pro is 24" inches in outer diameter. So only 0.8 inches bigger in terms of the wheel. Also the shell seems to be a bit wider. Edited November 5, 2020 by erk1024

This is the reason why proper motorcycle tires list in either [Width (in)] - [Rim Diameter (in)] or [Width (mm)]/[Sidewall Height in % of Width] - [Rim Diameter (in)] formats, since outer diameter fluctuates tire model to tire model.
EUC Addict
eWheels increased the price of the Monster Pro from $3490 to $3590 to bring parity between the Pro and EX. The price increased because of the changes and improvements eWheels requested from Gotway on the EX. An 8 amp charger, fender and power pads will be included in the new pricing.

Popular Post EUC Addict
Gotway employee rode the Monster Pro 541 miles from Gotway factory to San Ya City. Rider weighed 132 lbs. and carried a 22 lbs. backpack. His average speed was 18 mph and the ride took him 28.5 hrs. He was able to ride about 100 miles on one charge with 10% (79.9v) battery remaining.

Quick math says this would have required a 35mph ish average while moving and a 12-15A charger with not doing anything else. So seems legit! Impressive.

Yeah this photo of rider and wheel caught my eye for size comparison too. Can't tell how far back the rider is standing from the wheel. I have my heart set on this wheel, but I'm only 5'4" so I'm also concerned about maneuverability and comfort. I had a Monster and that was no problem, but this one at 100lbs and taller than the Monster has me waiting and watching before I buy. Well the size and long-term reliability of the hollow motor bearings both have me waiting.
