Kingsong - Before you purchase WATCH THIS!

So, am I miss judge this guy with those click bait title and thumbnail? Fine, I will watch the whole video...

The following are some pin points that I got from the video:

1. He said he's the influencer, asked Kingsong to provide free 16X for testing, Kingsong refused.
2. Complain that even if Kingsong lend him a wheel, it only for 2 weeks, not enough for him to test.
3. Some how make a deal with Kingsong to buy the 16X for $1000.
4. Wheel arrived dead, Kingsong ask him to bring to official dealer to check the wheel (an then send him a replacement mainboard) <- he complain that Kingsong didn't believe in him in the first place and just send the mainboard.
5. He complain it took so long for Kingsong to ship the mainboard from China to England.
6. He ride the wheel for a while, tight up some pedals hangers bolts and his inner shell broke.
7. Report to Kingsong, Kingsong refuse to warrant, and he quite upset about this.
8. He ask to buy the shell, Kingsong give him double price (compare to other seller), and he rant non-stop (again, direct from manufacture, shipping 1 item, from China to England... if they can do customer supports efficiently and cheap, I wonder why they need all those official seller...)
9. And then the only thing left is his rampant... something about investing on his setup, something about he lost money for Kingsong, etc...

After post his video all over the places, Kingsong finally gave up and send him a free inner shells, that's why he stopped replying on this forum...

Am I still miss judge him?

Looking at his posts history, mostly video posting.

There is one topic crying for help on his Z10, a lot of people jump in with suggestions, trying to help. And guess what? He fixed the Z10, decided to make a whole new video about it, and just forgot to say a single "thank you" for those who trying to help him in that topic...nice...

Great, so his mature way of complaining and not allowing KS to help in an acceptable manner to them, results in crybaby syndrome. Unfortunately KS 'settled' so he would quit trashing their name and posting rants. I find it unfair all around and in the end, KS took a loss just to shut him up. Every time something like this happens, the chances of a price break to the general customer, diminishes.

Marty is a good guy, focusing on providing useful information in a clear, professional, [disjoint] personal manner.

@Marco Domingos focuses on himself repeating his own poor decisions. Did he spend $2,000 on tools & lighting that appear to cost $40 out of China? Maybe he's including the mid-quality tables in those figures. What about his only artwork, the military-style poster of himself?

Marco interviews himself--Marco's focus is on Marco, the rest are props used to circle back to discussing Marco.

My guess is his channel would at minimum double subscribership if his wife was the host--not that there would be any more useful information, just better presentation.

It's funny to know the background, but for me it was not necessary. I saw his first video for a couple of seconds to build my mind about this xxxxx guy.

Here’s my reply (in English, as you requested) to your “why not be a man and tell me in English?” in the Spanish 16X Telegram group (BTW, how old are we? C'mon...):

It's a bitch when you get a lemon, we've all been there, but this entire situation is the result of YOUR choices, and yours alone. A two-week loan (like Kuji or Chooch) wasn’t what you wanted (your choice), so you decided to get the wheel but didn’t want to pay the price it costs in Europe so you bought it directly from KS China (not a prototype or a review unit you’re going to give back, but a production model you’re going to keep).

In Europe the 16X sells for minimum €2000. You paid $1,040, so you saved more than €1000. You got the wheel at a Chinese price with a Chinese warranty. We all know what that means if you live outside of China… I honestly don’t know what kind of after-sale service you expected, but I wouldn’t expect a Chinese company to come through even for a $20 purchase…

In that same situation, I’ll bet you most people would have been coherent and accepted that this was the result of their own choice. You could have taken the easy route and gotten a new board from a local distributor and received it in 24-48h (and the wheel still would have costs you a good €950ish less that the European retail price). Or you could have jumped through the KS hoops (we all know what dealing with EUC manufacturers is like…and if you aspire to be an influencer, you should know how these things work), patiently waited to get the board replaced, and accepted that was your choice—to pay with downtime and “the sweat of your brow” what you didn’t pay for in money (nothing’s free in this world).

But to choose the hard way and then make a public spectacle about it on social media? How exactly did you expect Kingsong to react? (especially after publicly sharing private messages from a company rep.). By sending you a free replacement? And all of this to not fork out $35 for an inner shell? Damn, you could have bought 5 extra motherboards and 6 or 7 new inner shells (depending on where you bought them) with the money you saved buying straight from KS China! Why not be happy about that? I guess drama makes for better-selling click-bait videos? 😉

Funny how it wasn’t until they banned you on FB that you turned to this forum, where you only ever show up to complain and/or promote your videos. How did you expect people to react? Here people ask, share and help each other out on a daily basis because they want to, out of a sense of community, not of self-interest/getting more views on their channel. We disagree on a daily basis, we argue, we joke around, and we don’t run off the minute someone disagrees with us. People can see right through your intentions, even if that’s not apparent from your point of view…

To further my point, a member of the Spanish EUC community invited you to join the Spanish 16X Telegram group. Not a single “thank you for inviting me”, no introduction, your very first phrase was literally “Hello guys, did you guys saw the video that I put out monday?” (in English).

After the conversation went on for a while in English, someone asked me to explain what all this was about (a lot of users don’t speak English and didn’t have a clue what your video was about), so I pretty much stated what I said above (I can’t help it, it’s my opinion), after which you accused me of attacking you in Spanish. When you were told that you were in a Spanish group and the least you could do was use Google Translate so everyone else didn’t have to, you said you didn’t have time for that….I don’t think there’s anything I can add to further clarify what’s pretty self-explanatory…

Community means reciprocity. Mutual respect. Not using other people when you need them and not giving anything back. Not whining to one group until they get fed up with you, then moving on to the next. Not declaring “It’s clear I’m not welcome here” and storming off like an angry toddler instead of having a mature discussion…

Have you not stopped to wonder why KS doesn’t want to have anything to do with you? Why people have reacted the way they have in this thread? Why you left the Spanish group with your tail between your legs? ? We’ve all been young, but this “the whole world is against me” and “everyone else is wrong except me” is only tolerable until age 16 at the very most…

We all agree that EUC manufacturers have a long way to go before they're up to Western standards, but there were a million ways to go about this that would have been more constructive to the community as a whole. Grow up, man, you’re doing the entire EUC community a disservice, including yourself.

@davinche I think part of the issue is many people who can afford EUCs as a hobby are a mixture of rational adult with strong focus in life and still young at heart who realize and accept potential shortcomings before investing. The OP played his shtick to the wrong audience.

tldr: "Always know your audience." 

You might be right. This really isn't the "hill I want to die on" so if people feel that strongly against OP then 🤷‍♂️.
For me, just watching the way social media evolved and how politics manifested itself on these platforms - people have grown so intolerant of each other to the point that I would say is destructive. I just don't want to see a community I've been lucky to have discovered descend down the same path.

So I guess I'm just advocating for open mindedness, constructive criticism, and giving people the benefit of the doubt.

I thank heavens that there are people like you in this world. Giving people the benefit of the doubt, has NEVER been my strong suit. People that are cautious to attack and have a more positive outlook on humans are a blessing to society as a whole. If the world was full of cynics as myself, it would be an intolerably wretched place to live. I am always on the attack and eat crow with few friends because of it. Thank you for being more cautious and delicate than I. We can almost be SURE that you stay a much happier person because of it.

Like @ShanesPlanet, I respect your original and revised viewpoint also, for similar reasons. Sometimes he's pretty smart for a used lawnmower salesman...

But I am always amazed about my knowledge of human nature. I knew absolutely nothing about this guy except a few seconds of video and a face and I didn't like this person at all (the expression is still flattering). Now with all this information comes the proof what a disgusting character is behind it.

But don't take my word for gospel here, I've just pieced things together based on what he's explained in his videos and said in the comments, what I've deduced from them, what happened on Facebook, what I've read here and there (unverified, not first-hand info) and my own interactions with him. I'm sure there are tons of things I don't know and deductions that might be outright wrong...I wouldn't dare say I know someone's true intentions, but I can say that's how they come across to me (subjectively).

I didn't want to take part in this thread and although my gut feeling told me this was a case of leaching and self-interest, I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But when he suddenly popped up out of the blue in a Spanish Telegram group I'm in, my patience ran out. The timeline was just so obvious: Posts on Youtube and shares his video here after a year inactive on the forum (never contributes anything that isn't a video of his---where plenty of affiliate links can be found, etc.),  doesn't get the answer he expected, lashes out on Facebook, gets blocked by KS (he's pinned the post saying so in the comments on his video), moves on to the next group...

The Spanish Telegram group just seemed so out of place and attention-seeking...his childish attitude was annoying, but his disregard for everyone with the whole posting in English and claiming he doesn't have time to bother using Google translate was just so self-centered and disrespectful that it was the straw that broke the camel's back...

I'm not one for name calling, but the ideas self-interested and opportunistic come to mind. I didn't mean to flame the fire (or be so harsh) but I have a short fuse for BS like this that's so contrary to what I feel this community represents. I just couldn't keep my mouth shut... 

And as @ShanesPlanet and @WI_Hedgehog pointed out, kudos to you, @davinche, for giving people the benefit of the doubt
