Did anyone tested what current level are safe for KS 16x?

At which level you set current alarm to be with optimal risk and enough time to react?

31 Current 32 Peak current my settings tuned 700+ km i speak about EUCWORLD. You can make yourself test ride to incline acelerate and when you hear 4 beeps. Find this ride time in eucworld log and see what current A trigger this in you case. Ideal is you alarm triggers before 4 beeps. long story short. Im  heavy  🐷119kg geared. Weight is always factor.

As far as i understand EUCs there is no current level to be set to be safe.

But for sure some KS16x riders experimented and found levels to help them to avoid some unsafe situations. Could be very dependend on their riding style.

Current alarms "evolved" imho from GW wheels, which report motor current. Tjis can get very high at lower speeds especially going up inclines. There it is used as safety measure to not fry the mosfets/wires.

But KS reports the battery current, which is very different.

Supposetly good news after all this theory and showing up the "problems" is that KS reports a value called "inverter_load" which could be just exactly the value of choice as "safety alarm" (a bit described at the end of the second link)

But this "discovery" is very new and still under evaluation...

@skautas2003 - forgot to mention this important point! This 4 beeps are afaik the KS 88% alarm - which presumably is triggered by this "inverter_load" value reaching 88%?

You can analyze this as it is logged by EUC World.

Here is my situation firstime my ks16X stop keep balancing for half second i mark red in log . I try ride away staford dog who start chasing me i panic and push ks16x very hard here is nice example anatomy of overlean. After inverter load got 100 whell stop balance for sec. I was lucky i acelerate by move weight to knee  not by lean body forward. In last second i catch ballance by leaning back and pedals/foorplate start balance again. board v1.5 FW1.07

Wow - from 60 to 100% in ~1.6 seconds. Around 0.5 seconds before the 88% alarm. Did the alarm got triggered? Or did you get it at all (speed, stressy situation)?

Yes 4 beeps alarm triggers. And shure my eucworld 32A watch vibrate too. 

It shook me a lot and I lost my confidence in the KS16X never since it was unpacked from the box, not even during the FW tests he did and I accelerated it very aggressively. This happened for the first time after changing the motherboard to v1.5. And I had the bluetoth module off. LED strips ON
I can't help but think about it when I ride now and it sounds 4 beep my stomach tightens ..

Yes indeed. Seemed to be huge and aggressive dogs making you accelerate :ph34r:

And it seems you had below 50% battery and additional sag by the immense current drawn.

And it seems you had below 50% battery and additional sag by the immense current drawn. / thrue i was on route home  absolutely not expect i meet dog unleashed who want humping with my ks16x. (use fastcharger and charging to 80% to incrase battery life) Is rare for me go from home on 100% battery only if i need ballance cells or some special reason. I thinking now sell my ks16x because this my model is hybrid now old 2 batch motor and all components vs  newest mainboard v1.5 maybee this componets is not optimized together. I have advatage for sell because my mileage is 240km+- on "new" board (old board 1000km+-) wheel looks nice no major scratches. And my old v1.4 fw 1.05 rocked is gone forever alredy.:crying:. (

1 . can buy new 2th bach 

2. buy newewst 16x model(i lost chayo yang tire then) bonus is new  fresh batery 

3. Buy MSP

4. keep this hybrid and lost weight .. .. ... . ... scifi :roflmao:

 

I accelerated it very aggressively this i mean when i testing FW and never this hapend thrue is when i test  aceleration always 100-90% battery for safety.

I’m not sure about a current alarm setting or what’s safe, but the top draw I’ve recorded was 52.03A. Looking through my history, in casual riding I’m regularly topping around 37A.
