Popular Post Unventor
Hi @Jack King Song I have a few questions about you announcement today. 1: If you go and do this as a customer is there a way to go back incase this change something in a way that didn't expect as a customer? Like possible rollback. 2: I didn't notice if this works only for some KS models or all? 3: If I understand the process right it change BT chip sounds. Could similar process be used to change horn on-board sound to eg. A high pitch cycle bell? It is easier for people to hear this. EUC Custom Power-Pads
With the new patch the resale value has increased by at least 30%. Thanks KS!

I'd assume we have to await some "hacker" instruction on how to connect a USB interface to the mainboard!? Maybe the necessary connections are already at some connector of the mainboard and some purchasable product can be more or less directly attached? If not it seems we had bad luck... .....
Really cool, but where's the 'revert' or original file? Im no programmer at all, tis why i get so nervous when I muck with any of this kind of thing. Sounds great as a feature, but what if I wind up not preferring it?

IIRC King Song is using MP3/USB/BT chips from Jerry AC69 series. Now I can't be sure, but probably AC6922 is used in KS-18L mainboard. While playing with may be not worth of time, at least in theory it is possible https://github.com/christian-kramer/JieLi-AC690X-Familiarization Edited May 8, 2020 by Seba

This doesnt work for all KS models, obviously only ones that include USB. 3. Customizable sounds (bluetooth starting up, horn sounds, beep sounds) are not on the current plan.

RustyLogic
Not sure what I'd doing wrong here, followed the instructions (tried 2 different USB sticks), doesn't update, just says "entering music mode". Have tried both USB slots. Tried turning wheel on with USB stick present and with inserting afterwards. Currently running KS16x with FW 1.08. Could never get the original BT update to work either, not sure if speedywheels had already done the update before shipping. Any suggestions?

Because i try new bluetooth update i explain again for totaly 🐔 here. Format 32 Gb flash disk to Fat32(set default alocation table). to empty flash copy updata.bfu and one Mp3 song. Turn on KS16X insert to left usb and wait 6x beeps. turn of and on ks16x dome. @RustyLogic Back to topic i do this no anoying sound update. succes no more bluetooth on /off words . After patch i feel something is not ideal when i reide is this bluetooth patch(interference) realy included? If i use newest updata.bfu and i reflash it with old updata.bfu(anti intereference) result is bluetooth on/off is logicaly back.(because i overwrite newest with oldest) This i need to know. Actualy i use old (anti intereference version because safety first) I need to adress that. Because i like posibility bluetooth "welcome" sound disabled. @Jack King Song Edited May 9, 2020 by DjPanJan

DjPanJan
@Jack King Song Thank you for reply not understand becasue (my bad) english or you not understand because you not know history KS16X ? Again here was some month ago bluetooth patch what fixed bluetooth interfeence for KS16X owners who have batch 1 and 2. Question for you @Jack King Song INCLUDE THIS NEW BLUETOOTH (you post) PATCH THIS FIX(what change something in BT anti interference)? CAN RIDERS WHO NEED OLD SAFETY PATCH INSTALL/REINSTALL NEW ONE? IS SAVE? Because potentionaly newest patch you post can be "normal" without safety "FIX". This can results to back problem what oldest patch fixed. Because BT module have only one ROM. .....
@Jack King Song I havent tried this update. I want the 'revert' file before I do. I will more than likely enjoy this BT, but i won't try without the original revert file for Ks18L. Where can I get the original 'revert' file? Everyone worrying about this causing ANY issues, is less likely to try it, without the revert file. Thanks for your support and the option to change the notification for bt music. Perhaps beta firmware is not supported by the patch yet. Actually this update is for MP3/BT chip. USB port is a peripherial of MP3/BT audio chip and it's completely separate circuit from mainboard MCU

travsformation
Guys, on second thought, I think it would be preferable to keep questions and feature requests in separate threads or things become messy and confusing And let's try to stay on topic insomuch as possible
Electric Dreams
As @Seba has explained. We understand your concerns however this is simply for the Bluetooth module and won’t affect the ride or safety of the rider.
Popular Post Electric Dreams
I just checked with my engineer this bluetooth patch is an add on onto the fix of the 16X interference BT issue during early releases. AKA: You wont experience any issues with interference because you apply this update to your BT music. @DjPanJan Edited May 13, 2020 by Jack King Song

Tinkererboi
@Jack King Song thank you once again for your support and hard work! 6 hours ago, Jack King Song said: I just checked with my engineer this bluetooth patch is an add on onto the fix of the 16X interference BT issue during early releases After seeing your post, I tried applying the original bluetooth patch first, and then this one. This time I think it succeeded. I hear the dididi sounds in this installation whereas the first time I tried it only said "enter music mode". It seems that the "bluetooth is connected" and "bluetooth is disconnected" sound is much softer now. Is this the correct effect of the patch?
