Bob Eisenman
I bought a 'light polution filter' for my camera and was out last night trying it out. The ride to the location on the Gotway Monster takes me about 15 minutes. The filter (Haida) blocks 'yellow' sodium derived light from street lights or any sodium vapor light source. The first two shots were taken about the same time, around 11 pm. No post processing...right off the camera. White balance set to 'custom' using an on memory card photo of a white surface as directed by the camera's custom white balance setup. A full moon was overhead. f11, iso 1600, 30 seconds without the lens filter with the light polution lens filter Photo of a lighthouse in Marblehead, MA , taken using the light polution filter.
