A relative in Sidney is interested in EUCs and would be keen on getting one.

The law dont want any of those fun and handy things, but how is it in practice?
Do the police care? Is countryside more relax than the city?

Here is story from some guy who got fined for riding electric scooter about a year ago.  I suppose it's similar to not paying for your public transport commute. Sooner or later you'll get caught and fined.

That sucks, it’s really annoying how much gouvernements don’t care to integrate one of the only realistic ways of diss engorging city traffic and lower air pollution. Nah they would actually have to do some work and not just let the lobbies do it for them.

Anyhow, it’s not legal in many other countries, but the cops generally turn a blind eye if they have better priorities. We’d have to know how statistically likely it was to get fined.
