Looking forward to some first impressions. The first challenge was getting the correct air pressure in the tire. I like around 40psi ,it shipped with 20psi.My bicycle pump could not connect ,no space. I checked out a @Marty Backe video to see what he used. Angled air chuck worked great. Second thing, it was not connecting to the Gotway App. I did not realize the Gotway App I previously had only connects my Mten3. Download the correct app and no problem . Like a kid in a candy store I just had to take it for a spin. It was pretty cold 36 F but sunny . I just went around the block a couple times. Very smooth, and balanced. I have the pedals on Hard(expert ?) and they were very firm. My initial impression on the acceleration is that you have to really put some effort into it. Could be the pedal setting. It was overall pretty nimble and I felt very comfortable right away! @Stillhart you will be very impressed !
Popular Post bigwave
This morning I opened the Nikola to have a look and make sure the pedal hangers were tight. Everything was good. Put some Blue loctite on the pedal screws. The only issue I have is I don't have the proper tool to remove the valve core. There is very little clearance around the valve. A special thanks to @Marty Backe for the information he provided to assist me with opening up the wheel.
travsformation
@bigwave you definitely did get the virus! This one in particular is definitely worth spreading! I'll be looking forward, once you've had a chance to put some miles on it, to hear how it stacks up against the 18XL in terms of comfort, manoeuvrability/agility, acceleration, speed (forget that one, it's a GW), offroading and versatility

The wheel weighs upwards of 55+ pounds, so it's pretty slow out of the gate/in initial acceleration compared to a smaller wheel. Conversely where it shines in acceleration is in the middle of its accel curve--like once you get above 10-15 mph, you can get to its top speed very quickly if you push it.
