Thanks, and what about weatherproofing?

Popular Post Rehab1
There appears to be significant tire compression while hitting the road bump. Curious what the tire pressure was set at.

Same price on ewheels as the KS-18XL and the V11, assuming ewheels complies with the MSRP. I love the choices available and healthy competition between EUC makers. This is the golden era of EUC innovation! <wild speculation> This should put a theoretical 1800W KS-SX18 at around $2499. I should be able to save an extra $100/month waiting for the update <\wild speculation>

Hello! I’m considering preordering the S18. But there’s one consideration which really scares me. Since the whole wheel except the motor is suspended, the wires going into the motor will be constantly moving and bending. Unless this place is perfectly designed, there is a great risk of damaging or fatiguing these wires, which will lead to an in-motion cut off and injuring the rider. Can you please explain what measures are taken in the design to prevent this, or, better, provide a photo? KingSong has always had a reputation that whatever glitches a wheel has, it never “kills” the rider. This is what I love KS for. I really hope it stays like this.
Popular Post Asphalt
22kg! That's 48.5lbs! How the heck did they make this thing so light? That's the same weight as the KS18L, which has a smaller 1036Wh battery. I guess getting rid of all that shell freed up some room for the suspension. That means this thing should accelerate even better than the 2200W 18XL! Very impressed with the engineering going into this wheel - at least on paper. Hope it translates into real-world usage.
Dave Wood
The Inmotion is following a good principle where the pedals and side panels move up and down with the rider. The sides panels are joined by a saddle at the top which means both move together. The Kingsong is open and a dirt trap, possibly a double piston/strutt arrangement, possibly a longer stroke. Possibly independent each side. i suppose its the better looking wheel so atleast it wins there..

Everything except the wheel is sprung on the KS wheel so suspension action "should" be better than on the V11. The V11 has a cleaner more waterproof design while the KS-S18 has a more aggressive look and is more compact. The heaviness of the V11 will rule it out for anyone who has to pick their wheel up. I'm not keen on there being no rear lighting on the KS wheel. The V11 lighting is no doubt brighter on the front but it remains to be seen if it blinds oncoming traffic like the MSP. My guess is that KS wheel will handle crashes better but I guess Kuji will find that out when he's done testing. Pricing looks fairly good to me on both wheels.

Popular Post meepmeepmayer
I can't bring myself to complain about a daring, innovative and new sleek futuristic design. It's like the Z10 in this regard. 3p 1100Wh battery is a bit lame though, but at least the price reflects that. Let's see if this crazy suspension is worth it compared to whatever Inmotion did (which seems to be less crazy). *waits for new Gotway wheel pushing the range boundaries*
Popular Post mrelwood
The operational videos really do not reflect the 10cm suspension travel at all. Based on the Inmotion videos, it looks as if their 7-7.5cm were much more reactive and put to better use for regular riding. But since both mechanisms seem to be adjustable, it could indeed be that the S18 suspension was indeed set at a very tight setting. If the rider really is Kuji, this would be expected as well. We need more videos! 7 minutes ago, meepmeepmayer said: *waits for new Gotway wheel pushing the range boundaries* My thoughts exactly!

mike_bike_kite
The handle looks pretty useful which I suppose is typical for KS. What's the key for next to the LED rear light? Does that light have an option to be red while running and shine brighter during braking?

My thoughts is that KS has won me over as of typing this, but my thoughts all along is what will the speed king do now that their main competition has officially pushed the EUC into the next era. Gotway now has the option to look at two suspensions to analyze and perfect to their liking. I will be waiting for Gotway's answer before I order anything myself. If they can't top what KS has done with the above then I will be purchasing my first KS wheel. That S18 is the best looking EUC now by far to me.

Popular Post fryman
Great looking wheel and we will see on the suspension concept. But I don't think I can sacrifice distance; just for a cool looking wheel. For me KS needs to make this wheel 1600wh.
