KingSong 16x glowing red light inside the case

Charged my KS 16x to 100% and then pulled the charger off.  An hour later it beeped twice and now there’s a glowing red light inside the top right part of the case.  What is that?

also, I turned on the DarknessBot app during my ride today and the whole time I was riding the wheel, my iPhone 7 Plus was vibrating. I finally had to close the app.  Any thoughts about that?

that doesnt sound right. Im interested to hear any answers also..  Perhaps store it somewhere away from combustibles for the night, just to be safe? Does it smell odd? One thing for sure, electronics arent shy about odor at the first sign of issue.

If you ask King Song: It's a new safety feature since firmware 1.07.

If you ask me: It's a stupid firmware bug.

It happens if you charged to 100% and do not disconnect the charger at the end in a certain time.

Solution: switch the wheel on and then off again

The beeps are the reminder to remove the charger or turn it ON and OFF.

The beeps (and glowing light) didn’t happen until 20 minutes after I had already unplugged.  Nevertheless, you were right.  I turned it on and then powered off.  It fixed the problem.  Much appreciated!

Sorry, I just deleted my post as I misread the issue. Do you think they the light turns on to slowly drain trickle drain the battery to prevent over charging damage ?

The red light indicates that the wheel is powered on.

If you are experiencing different results during charging/riding ; light sometimes off sometimes on in the same states please take a picture and send it to me.

Thank you!
