stoneskid Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I have had this unit for a week and I can't stop riding it. This is my first unicycle type device so I can't really tell you how it compares to others out there. If anyone is in the NY metro area, specifically Queens or Manhattan you are more than welcome to come over for a test ride. The learning curve is not bad, it took me about 30 min to really get a handle on it and after a few hours its was basically second nature. I do find the handle bars make it very easy to ride as opposed to the models without them. I paid $725 for the unit (introductory offer). I purchased it directly from the website and it took a week to arrive. I'm 5' 10" and about 180 lbs and the wheel handles my weight and size without any issues. I have to say Im really impressed with the build quality, its mostly aluminum. I have been riding it around the streets of NYC and the outer boroughs. It seems to go about 10-15 mph and I have never run out of charge. It takes about 4 hours to charge and I would guess gets about 30 miles of range. The longest I took it out for was about 10-15 miles and when I was done there was still about 50% charge left. The seat is very comfortable but I would guess for larger people the handle bars may be an issue because of the hight. One complaint I have is the the footpads do not lock in the upright position. With all the manny accessories (see below) that came with the cycle there is no stand, which I think is very stupid. I have to lean it up against a wall and try to balance it and hope it does not fall over. Pros Price Very quick, charge last a very long time Charges quickly Comes with a ton of accessories. High quality flashlight, cell phone holder, storage pouch, car charger, home charger, tools for service Bluetooth control (only android) Cons A little on the heavy side 30lbs Footpads do not lock in the up position Bluetooth control is only android and not IOS http://www.wheelvolution.com
Mono Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I kind-of like the saddle, but the handle seems to add unnecessary weight and material to stumble over without much added value.
Grace Sheng Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 $725 is too much, i found it seems to me almost spend 300-400$ can get a great one
