FreeRide
I do like the versatility if this adapted seat.
ABEhrhardt
Thanks for sharing - way cool. Do you worry about the handle being able to take the stress of the seat being attached? That seems to me to be the potentially weak link; I can't see how the handle is attached to the body - metal pin into metal socket would be the strongest, I'd think.

Yeah, lots of people seem to be worried about the handle. I guess time will tell. Most of the time I'm not sitting, so it's not being stressed continuously. I've seen prototypes that Gotway was making, and they were also attached to the handle. So Gotway must have thought the handle was strong enough. I would say that if you're worried about it, don't do it.

It's a pipe dream for me (I was finally able to order a replacement Airwheel S8 as China is shipping to ebay sellers again), but I love watching what you've done. Doesn't seem like there would be TOO much stress on the handle in normal riding.

ABEhrhardt
Don't have a Nikola seat - I have an Airwheel S8, which already has a bicycle seat (long, hard, narrow) and I put a gel bike seat on it. Nothing special - just the biggest one I could find, on top of the original seat. It's an ugly arrangement because the S8 seat is much longer than any gel seat I could find, so I had to sort of tie it on using the hole in the S8 seat. It doesn't matter when I ride - you can't see any of it (I'm normally wearing a dress). Another S8 point vs. a different EUC or ebike: the place where I rest my feet on the S8 is large and comfortable; but most unicycles and many others have very small pedals which fold down. You have to wear boots to be more comfortable on these pedals.
