Really tempted, but it's $2K in the US. Add shipping, customs and VAT and we're talking Gotway Monster budget at my doorstep :/

Quite cool device, this speedboard, but the noise I find a little bit annoying.

Does the motor really push on the tire to drive the wheel?

Because of the chain, I guess.

Seems they didn't want to bother with a belt.

Did you see a chain in any of the vids?

I was just constantly looking from the wrong side :efefa6edcf:

I didn't think that a chain should be making that much noise?

Looks lethal to me and you're definitely braver than me for trying it out. For a prototype that thing was beautifully built and it also certainly crashes well ... which is probably just as well. Perhaps future versions could incorporate a bandage dispenser?

Thanks for posting! Is having a remote an issue?

if you ride e-boards it's no different. But for a uni guy like myself, it's a tad annoying.

It's one of the reasons I got rid of the e-skate and switched to the Onewheel XR.

Managing speed with your body feels a lot more natural than having to undergo the result of pressing a trigger. In the first situation the device reacts to you, in the second you have to react to how the device behaves.

Right on! I have over 3000 miles on my Onewheel XR. Really enjoy it!

Indeed. It's not as versatile or as fast as an EUC, but for low speed fun around the block it's a great device.
