Rubber noise when turning?

I have a Z10 and just noticed this recently. When I make a turn, doesn't matter if its on grass or pavement, I can hear the rubber of the tire brushing up against something. It's not a constant noise but it is frequent, you can hear it probably once per rotation of the tire. As far as I can tell nothing is stuck inside the wheel. My tire is nice and firm like the day I got it. When I set the wheel on its side and rotate it, I do notice the wheel goes back and forth a little bit. Anyone have this issue before?

It's almost certainly the tire rubbing against something inside the wheel.

If you examine the tire then you'll probably find the hot spot that's impinging onto the wheel, and if it's to the side then you can shave the tire off. If it's near the center of the tire then it'll go away on its own as the tire wears down from riding OR you can reduce tire pressure just enough so it stops rubbing.

Personally, I think the wheel should fit extremely close to the tire, at the point where a mudguard would be, because that halts debris from coming into the wheel. If you get a stick inside the wheel, it's extremely hard to get it out, whereas if it jams at where the mudguard would be, you just stop and clear it out.

So far I've always been able to see and remove any blockage, but I get what you're saying a tighter fitting would certainly help.
