MSuper3 rider weight?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at an inexpensive MS3 that could be nice for my brother, however he weights about 90Kg (200pounds), would that be suitable or is the axis too thin? It was first purchased in 2016 so it probably doesn't have the thicker axis of the later versions..

Thanks for any insight!

Yes, the MSuper V3's  never got the thicker axle treatment.

That being said, I personally know 200+ pound guys who rode that and other Gotway wheels (ACM) with the same axle and never had issues.

Broken axles usually come about from the abuse that comes from lots of jumping (off curbs, etc). He should be fine.

2016 means 67.2V? Just be careful with hills, it might have the oooold shitty motor connectors.

It was just the bad motor connector time. I don't know if there were ever problems with those on the 67.2V wheels, but if there were, maybe best to just solder the wires together.

I also bought older 67 volt msuper and like it very much. 3000kms on wheel now. No issues with 100kg rider. I have jumped curbs and abuse the hell out of it, but I like more softer tyre pressures.
