Shad0z
i had an extra 5v fan laying around from an old laptop. i never use the 5v usb on the msx. so i used the 5v from the board for the fan. the fan is not as powerful as the stock fan. but it does move air well. (its 0.19 amp 5v, usb is 5v 1 amp) i will probably find a better fan later on and use that. but for now this is good the thing this fan does well is that it is made to push out air in one direction, like the fan on the nikola. so i mounted it so it was flush with the control board. so it blows air between the heatsink and the board. perfect! i tested the temps. and i got a 3-6 celsius less on average. and the spot where the control board is does not feel as warm to the touch as usual. i also added some washers to the screws that hold the shell to the motor. which is super easy. and everyone should do it. also be sure to use thread lock. i feel like with this simple washer mod the shell feels the slightest bit less creaky.
