chrisjunlee
So a bit of context: I believe in producing content that benefits the community. And riding season is coming to an end for me, with maybe one more weekend of decent riding weather. With that said, what kind of videos would you like to see regrading the Kingsong 16X and the Nikola 100V Plus? Yes, this post is basically a crowdsourcing beatsheet. meepmeepmayer
Just a comparison. Especially acceleration and behavior at all speeds. Which wheel feels how, which is more zippy from zero or at high speed, braking, stability, maneuverability, etc...

Picked up a GoPro just for the GPS, so that's a start. Ideas for kinds of tests?
meepmeepmayer
Not sure if there are many objective tests one can make with EUCs where everything just depends on the subjective rider input (weight, ergonomy and geometry, riding style and expectations/preferences on the wheel behavior). It's not so much about if a EUC can do something, but how easy or hard, pleasant or stubborn, natural or convoluted it is to do with a certain wheel. If you want hard numbers, maybe find different grade hills and compare the Nikola and 16X there? Sorry, I got no other "objective" ideas. I don't think people would mind your "subjective" opinion as a lighter rider.

It is year round riding season in Seattle with proper rain gear. However, your commute is way way longer than mine. I only have to tolerate rain for a short period. I hope the Nikola+ can handle wet condition as well as the Z10. Sooo. I'd like to see videos of riding KS 16X and Nikola+ going across the 520 bridge in the wind and rain. And it looks like you'll have plenty of opportunity for it this week.

Not sure how long you have lived in Seattle my friend but our typical fall rainy season is light rain/ barely drizzle, usually just cloudy and beautiful with colors changing. I’ve cycled in it for years and was just shopping for proper gear to wear for the fall/winter season here. Temps are even pretty moderate compared to rest of the country. Today was a perfect day of riding for me. Another perk of cloudy/ drizzly here is much less people out on trails. haha What I'm saying is I'm sure ill see you out this fall. That thunderstorm tonight though, holy moly. I *felt* the thunder like an earthquake, and it rained like 9000 inches.
eucinsea
Haha yeah that was a rare one. I was at a wedding reception in Ballard and the wedding photographers were taking photos of lightening over the party.

Rain or cold weather? Gorilla waterproof tape is what I use on all my wheels over power buttons and suspect openings. Over here in VA, I ride leisurely in 10 degree Fahrenheit weather in the winters.
