Yellowman
I am curious how does a V10F perform in Seattle with constant rain and/or wet pavement? Should one worry about the wheel getting rusty due to wet contact? Thanks
Johnycle
Hi Yellowman, funny, today i was commuting to work in LA and i got an unexpected downpour. I thought the V10F was waterproof so i keep cruising at 18-20mph.. it seems from the thread below that it is not.. hmm.. i did not have an issue and have not had an issue ridding on wet surfaces. Yellowman
I got this answer when I asked the dealer: Quote Yes, the V10F wheels that we fulfill are fully sealed and weatherproof. Use your protective cover when possible as a spill that cracks the inner shell of the wheel could then make the unit susceptible to moisture intrusion. So if I understood the answer right, I should be able to ride w/o worries on wet surfaces. Honestly, I don't want to risk it too much. I am not sure if the wheel would slip on wet surfaces (I am still new at controlling the wheel).
UniVehje
It should be fine. The new pedals might give more grip when wet. Tire will not slip if you ride sensibly.
eucinsea
I ride a v8 all around Seattle rain or shine. My only issue is the v10 pedals I have on it and the rubber is a little slippery when wet. I wear skate shoes usually and grips enough if I take it easy when its more than a typical Seattle mist.
Yellowman
Thank you guys for the confirmation. I am glad to know wet ground won’t kill the electronics of the V10
