Guest PogArt Artur Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Hi I need your help to understand, what's wrong ? I have an electric car air pump, so I've bought on eBay the car adapter, to use the air pump at home, instead of having all the inconvenience efforts of inflating the EUC outside the house... It doesn't work, and I'm struggling to understand why... There's some lack of Watt probably, because the air pump is getting the power while connected to main socket through the adapter, but its motor doeasn't work, so it's not working, but the digital screen only. Can I do anything to make it work please? I mean, maybe replacing the fuse in the adapter? Can you suggest any other adapter that will work please? Thank you.
Gasmantle Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Artur, I can't offer any help with your problem but to inflate indoors I bought one of these cheap and cheerful pumps. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Single-Cylinder-Barrel-Tyre-Inflator-Foot-Pump-With-Gauge-Top-Tech-580701/302141984200?epid=1244289799&hash=item465910cdc8:g:A~MAAOSw9tlb2Ips For £5 it does the job

The air pump needs 12V DC/7.5A/96W. The car charger delivers 12V and 0.6A. 13 minutes ago, PogArt Artur said: Can you suggest any other adapter that will work please? Planemo Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I always adjust pressures with a simple pushbike pump and a standalone digital pressure gauge. Easy to get it just right.

In my case I didn't buy it for EUC, but I had it for long time, this is why I wanted use it for EUC too, but at home rather, than taking it next to the car on the driveway 22 minutes ago, Gasmantle said: Artur, I can't offer any help with your problem but to inflate indoors I bought one of these cheap and cheerful pumps. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Single-Cylinder-Barrel-Tyre-Inflator-Foot-Pump-With-Gauge-Top-Tech-580701/302141984200?epid=1244289799&hash=item465910cdc8:g:A~MAAOSw9tlb2Ips For £5 it does the job Thanks @Gasmantle So cheap, isn't it?! :)

I don't think it would be much good if I needed to inflate tyres regularly but for the occasional use I need then it's worth the money.

Guest PogArt Artur Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Thank you EVERYBODY for quick response and help. I got confused why the adapter doesn't provide enough power to run the air pump, lol Thank you @Chriull for detailed pin point answer. I've placed the order for proper adapter : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173859033537 I know I could spent much less and go for the same air pump as you advised @Gasmantle, but having electric air pump already, made me to buy the proper adapter, so I can use the same air pump for both car&Z10, instead of collecting multiple air pumps... Thank you ALL again !!!

Great minds think alike! I use a 10A adapter for mine:
Guest PogArt Artur Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I've received mine adapter fewer days ago So happy to inflating the tyre at home Cheers for comment.
