Ostensibly mine has been sitting in Chicago waiting to ship for a week now.The proprietor tells me no further progress can be made for another week since he can't contact his Chinese shipping partners during the holiday. I could use a holiday like that once in a while hahaha The longer delays people have experienced have been because of manufacturing delays combined with shipping delays, and these are not the norm (only a couple cases). This would only be a possibility when ordering a new version of the unit that is still in the final development stage, which would not include any present orders.Right now the shipping partner King Song uses offers pretty sparse info, I have to ask King Song to ask them for info. While usually the recent units have been arriving pretty quickly, sometimes when there is a delay it is tough for us to get detailed information about reasons and time estimates. In the end, all the units have arrived and the customers have been happy. Some very quickly, and some not so quickly for a variety of reasons including the controversy over shipping large batteries with air freight and customs delays.We are in communication with a new China shipping partner, so that people who choose our lower-priced China shipping option will be able to get more information about their shipment progress and any possible international shipment delays that occur.We are also working on USA-side shipping program, so that folks who want a little more certainty and information, with a consistently fast arrival time, will be able to choose it as an option. It will cost a little more, but to many folks I know it will be worth it. We have a bulk order of our most popular models scheduled to ship after the holiday, so the USA shipping option should be rolling in the coming weeks.On the site, I will offer both China and USA shipping options, so that people can choose the lower price or the faster shipping.To the folks waiting for your orders, thank you for being so patient. There was an early issue with extended delays of King Song deliveries to the USA, but recently it seems this is no longer the case, so I expect you to be riding very soon. The holiday thing is real, I believe, because many of us are waiting for it to end so we can receive our iPhone/KS 800 application codes, which they will release after the holiday. You probably don't have to much longer to go. If anyone should know about having to wait due to China's shipping issues- I think I may hold the world record on that one! I bought mine through electricunicyclereviews and got through it ok. The proprietor called me and provided great customer service. I realized some issues are out of his control. Jrkline "Wheel Whisperer" Posted October 3, 2015 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Im currently in China and also a customer of Electricunicyclerewiews.com(have been waiting since Aug 17 for delivery of the Kingsong 18") and this holiday thing is real.I wanted to meet up with Kevin Lee in Hong Kong while Im over here to check out the Gotway mten but he informs me that due to this holiday week in China,everyone is not available til the 11th.It is really beyond the control of anyone and a lot of the business' are closed all week.It's the 66th anniversary of the Mao victory and they take it seriously.
