Air tube valve too long (V5F+)

Just a quick question! My brother owns a V5F and had to change his air tube. When he installed the tube, the valve was a bit too long and it hits the interior of the shell when rolling. Is there a known way of bending a valve just a bit or is it gonna break it. Do you have other ideas about fixing it other than getting another tube with a shorter valve (not even sure where I could find one really)
