Tire pressure gauge...

Recommended Posts

Hi folks -

I want to get a tire pressure gauge that plays well with the hooked valve on the V10F tire/tube.  I don't want to pry the valve around if I don't have to...

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
:)

On the KS18XL, I was having the same problem. Even using @Marty Backe 's trick of using four extenders didn't work because I couldn't find a way to get past the pedal. The valve is very tight against the outer edge of the motor housing. After a couple failed attempts, I ended up with this thing. It's great. It's portable, so you can used it "in the field". The reviews say the gauge is accurate, and the filler hose has a slim attachment for the thread-on valve so it can go straight on. Basically you can get into tight spaces. It was a bit pricey because I had to buy a battery and charger, but it's great to have something that works really well.

Thank you Jitsar & erk1024...

I have a compressor already.  My problem is that I have no way to quickly check my tire pressure without having to hook up the compressor, which is a bit of a hassle.  I find that when I hook up the compressor enough air escapes that I wind up having to fill the tire anyway.  Once it's connected it's easy enough - but I hate moving that valve around to attach it.

This is what I have:

I'm really looking for a tiny gauge that is small enough for me to simply attach it and check.

Thanks again  :)

I have to inflate to 50+ psi, and I haven't found a small gauge that can go into the available space on my wheel. Let me know if you find a solution!  :)

Think this'd work?

That would probably work! Hopefully it's accurate. I tried one of these, and the pressure was off by over 8 psi. Not recommended!

I may try it - at $15 seems like it might be worth a shot.

My compressor has been fine.  It's just difficult to attach which is why I'd like to deal with it as little as necessary.

Thanks again -

Does anyone know if this valve will fit an EUC tire?  Kind of defeats the purpose if it doesn't.  I think it's meant for automobile tires...but that might be fine....

The EUC and automotive tires use the same schrader valves--should work fine.

Cool.  I'll order one and report back.  Thank you! :)

Certainly it will. If you use a compressor to fill your tire, I highly recommend this from Harbor Freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/dual-chuck-tire-inflator-with-dial-gauge-63049.html

It has a double ended fill valve that allows me to fill any of my 12-wheels with ease. At ~$12 you can't beat the price.

Just an update - got the gauge today and it worked pretty well.

I did have kind of wedge it between the rim and the valve, but it wasn't too big a deal since it's round.

$15 well spent, IMO.

I bought one of these and it works great and is really useful. It also appears to be nice and accurate. One of the issues I'm having with my inflator is that I lose some air while I'm unscrewing the nozzle. I didn't know how much air I was losing until I used this guage! Thanks for figuring this out! I basically have to fill to 60psi, and it will drop to about 52 psi as I take the nozzle off. (Either that or the gauge on my inflator is not that great.)

Yeah this gauge is just fine.  Glad it's working out for you.
