I was on Android 9.1 and now I'm on Android 10. I have tried it with another phone with Android 8.x The same result there. Looks like the app is gone from Google play. Maybe that's because of Android version. Tried the version from roll.nz. Didn't help. Have tried to reinstall and wipe the app storage. As we know, KS is unable to create reliable app for their wheels. Thanks to @Jason McNeil they decided to share protocol and maybe other technical details with DarknessBot creator, as iOS support for KS was in fact nonexistent. However when I scanned the QR-code linked to the app on the back of the KS 16x user manual, it downloaded a different version which worked fine for me! It worked until some time this fall. Since I'm using EUC world app. I just figured I'd wait for an update. That didn't come. I went to kingsong.com and downloaded that version. So now I got v. 3.2.0. I get a white shirt with Kingsong logo for a about 20 seconds. Then it closes. If I try to reopen it again, I only see white background with logo for a second. If I force close the app. The white background with logo show for 20 seconds. @The Fat Unicyclist If you have 3.14 I'd like to try it out. Posted January 12, 2020 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Can't seem to get the KS APP ios 1.3 to allow me calibrating the trolley handle on an 18L fw2.0 Not a big deal, as the handle works fine, but the calibrate screen tells me ot keep it flat and wont go any further. In theory, Android app is still available on their website as APK. It can be installed after allowing installation of apps from unknown sources. For some reason both apps has been removed by Apple and Google from respective app stores. King Song doesn't develop apps on their own. Instead, they use external company to do so. It's normal practice. The problem is that their apps are of very low quality, full of bugs, bloated with unneeded and suspicious features. For example, Android app is known to transmit user geolocation data over unencrypted data channel. It also requests way more permissions that it should for its puprpose (phone calls, reading contact list, SMS, microphone, camera etc.). It looks like they are creating apps with Chinese market in mind. Chinese maps, Chinese social platforms, Chinese analysis tools. Finally, poorly translated English titles and labels, mixed with original Chinese. That's why IMO it's best to avoid OEM KS app and use DarknessBot on iOS and EUC World on Android. Both apps are actively developed, both developers are present on this forum and actively listening and responding to feature requests and bug reports. I had 1.09 on my KS-14D and had a lot issues with odometer not registering mileage, speed alerts and titlback not working consistently. I reached out to Jason at eWheels where i bought the wheel from and he sent me firmware 2.0 which resolved all the issues. I'm told KingSong will release 2.0 to all KS-14D owners very soon. P.S. Unable to install switch to 2.0. It turns in a vacuum.Is this normal? I have tried everything, under Android 10 and Android 9, different applications like wheelbot.
