Wrist/hand protection + apple watch

As in the title. How do people solve this?

Which wrist protection do you use? Photo would be helpful. On some designs you can feed the strap through the wrist guard itself.  Or you could take a more drastic approach and velcro it to the guard @Marty Backe style, but this is best accompanied by removal of the strap; which does you no good when you want to wear the watch normally again.

I've been thinking about this as well, just because it would be nice to have a speedometer / speed warning on my wrist. Also good for navigation. I'm not sure I want to have my iPhone on my arm swinging in the wind where it's likely to pop off and end up in the weeds--or worse.

There is this cloth strap you can buy for the iWatch. I'd sew a 1.5" wide strip of Velcro to it. I'd put the scratchy Velcro on one side, and then use the fuzzy Velcro to extend the length of the watch strap so it would fit around whatever wrist guards I might be using. The Velcro is also unlikely to fail, like a watch buckle might.

The iWatch is charged wirelessly through a little disc that you set it on. I wonder if it would still charge OK if there was a layer of Velcro in between. It would be easy enough to test ahead of time, I guess. If you had an iWatch already, which I don't.

I bought this arm band and have it mounted on upper part of my forearm fits perfectly in a little space of my wrist guards as well. I can take a photo of it on if you want a visual.

The sensors still detect my heartbeat etc if you are looking for that as well

I’ve put in an order for this band. Thx for the idea. I’ve also ordered many different cases for the watch from eBay (1$ each) - will see how it goes

I wanted mine (well, one of mine - I use an "old" series 2 for this) with me, but didn't care about heart rate so I grabbed one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078HXGXYX/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and then leave my watch in my pocket and use the cord too pull it out (like a pocket watch).

When 12South updates their ActionSleeve for the series 4 I'll probably try one of those: https://www.twelvesouth.com/products/actionsleeve?variant=9173862416441

Good thread! I was going to start something similar until I saw this pop up!

I am trying to find a solution for my Samsung S2 watch onto my Flexguards. I had considered Velcro a la Marty but as Smoother said, it's a bit of a pain when I want to wear the watch normally again which I do whenever I am at work. I will look at the options posted cheers!

Edit: found this one for the S2 Classic if anyone is interested, just need to check it extends big enough (does 5.9 to 9.8" and I have around 7.25" wrist) for the Flexmeters.
