Pushing the limits :)

Pushing the limits - again!
Today I went out to practice getting on the wheel for second time.
It was actually the third, but I'm not sure if the first poor tries counts? :)
If so, then at the second session I've managed getting on/off and riding throughout the driveway.
So today I carried practice what I've achieved...
I don't know if you are the same?,but I always need some "warming up" before I'm ok?
I mean, when I get out the house,I can't repeat what I've achieved previously...
It's kind of getting used to the wheel again...
After some time "warming up" I'm getting better and more comfortable,so then I can carry on practice.
That was the case today as well.
I couldn't do nothing at first, then slowly better and better, until I were able getting on the wheel again.
Then I did riding throughout the driveway,as previously...
Then I started thinking - what if I go outside the gate?
The idea of pushing the limits started bothering me :)
I've opened the gate... :)
I got so scared then, just by thinking of leaving my safe driveway, lol !
I nearly couldn't get on and ride any more!?
So I started calming down emotions...
And I went outside!
For first time ever :)
There's kerb, just outside the gate,it's raised above the asphalt of the street, but kind of half lowered because of access to the driveway...
I was scared not to fall off the wheel, but I managed go out through over it :)
I went down the street a bit, to turn back to the driveway - obviously I can't do turns yet...
So I got off the wheel...
It was obvious I were even scared more to go back, over the half raised kerb :)
I've managed it as well!
Wow :)
My legs were shaking,I were all shaking because of what I just did! ;)
For first time I were going a bit faster as well...
The wheel became unstable a bit, I'm not sure whether I did cause it by my legs shaking,or the wheel discalibrated itself..?
Sometime it was rolling ok,but sometimes I felt it was bouncing on its sides...
I did calibrate the wheel's sensor using the app calibration, after the session.
At next training I will try go out the gate again, maybe I'll be less shaking then? :)
So I can find out, whether it was me, or the calibration went off...
Lol...
Hopefully I'm doing some progress, slow, but there's no rush for me...
At my present skills level, I can't imagine how you guys, going out on the streets, and riding in traffic?!
Lol :)
It must be impressive!!!
Honesty...
When I'm watching youtube videos, it looks not too complicated, until I tried it on my own :)

Nice work! Bouncing on it's sides, sounds like it is wobbling. This is usually because of the rider.
The better you get at riding the less you will wobble. This is the same for skateboards, longboards, onewheel and so on.

Just keep on riding! Riding in traffic for the first time was very nerve wracking for me but no worry.
Ride every day and set a goal to ride a certain time or a certain distance.
Last year I would hurry home from work and then ride my Ninebot for 20km.
Now I ride my MSX every day for 50km.

The most fun i've ever had is riding an EUC!

Good job. Mounting is scary for a while at first. Don't worry about that. Focus on learning how to turn, you're doing great.

Thanks a lot @kasenutty...

Yesterday the street's width wasn't enough for me to make a turn hahahaaa!?

Definitely I need to focus on turns asap :)

@PogArt Artur i think you need a bigger open space then your driveway, in a big open space you don't have to direct the wheel just stay on it and then you will soon start turning and you don't have to worry about obstacles then your mind a little bit more free

Thanks for encouragement @Mike Sacristan.

That's what I meant - wobbling :) thanks.

I was shaking like a rabbit seeing the fox  :)

It was for sure - me :)

On my driveway  (safe zone) I wasn't noticing wobbling, but when got out the gate and increased the speed a bit more... :)

Lol !

Thanks @stephen :)

Obviously you're right, thanks for video :)

I'm ok to turn left/right though,it's because of my driveway's practice...

I can go a bit straight line, but then I'm forced to bend left (because of my car) to get to the gate, then on way back I'm again forced to follow the curve bend (the car) to go right to fit to the back garden's part...

I'm ok to turn towards my house's door...

Yesterday it was too emotional, legs went shaking, I was all shaking :)

The wheel started wobbling then...

It was obvious I'm out of my safety zone, lol  :)

So I can turn a bit left or right, but yesterday the street's width wasn't enough for me to make U turn :)

Too tight hahahaaaa :)

As you said, I'll be better off on larger area, without obstacles to practice those turns (U turns) ...

You know, yesterday I felt for the first time the speed...

Cold air on my chest, kind of freedom ...

That must be a great feeling, just set off and go freely :)

Thank you @stephen.
