MaiKi
I found this by chance and find it very interesting. Is the technology also for eucs the future or are they already installed and are therefore no further development for us?! https://www.linearlabsinc.com
The Fat Unicyclist
This may be a challenge... The way I understand it this motor will turn an axle, but what we need is an axle that will turn a motor! Electric connections for EUC have to be into the centre of a wheel, at (or near) the axle which is held stationary. The motor itself (the wheel) then turns. Would the HET (shown in the video) be able to be powered that way?
MaiKi
I believe they can build this motor like they want, because on there webaite they give e-scooters as example und dont they need "same" motors???
The Fat Unicyclist
Yes, e-scooters use BLDC motors too... So that does indeed change things up - they could be scaled up for EUC!
meepmeepmayer
There's an awful lot of buzzwords and marketing on that site, but I don't see any info how it works or a blow-up-drawing or something that could help us understand the thing and if it would work for EUCs (or any other application) This leads me to the following conclusion, that it's like so many announced "technical revolutions" with vague details: Sorry
Smoother
I don't think this is "nothing". Unless the entire web site is just a slick marketing con job, including the 8 high profile jobs they are hiring for in the Dallas area, that someone on the forum might be interested in.
