Popular Post meepmeepmayer
https://liftfoils.com/efoil/ Not sure why, but somehow it reminds me of the fun to be had with EUCs. The same kind of effortless movement, controlled by shifting your weight (ok and a power throttle in your hand), just the "terrain" is water this time. The internals look really nice (at 4:15), nice firm connectors (easy disconnection and reconnection), everything waterproof and nicely packaged. I wish a EUC manufacturer had this kind of beautiful quality, this really impressed me. One can dream. So sweet (I really like those internals). Anyone has 12k too much that they would like help getting rid of? I can help 10

Someone needs to contact the people who make this and let them know they are wrong according to Gotway: Quote Gotway Subject Matter Expert: "no one can make sure a product can be waterproof perfectly" Clearly they should just cancel their electric water foil before someone gets electrocuted /s 3
meepmeepmayer
Haha! It's just that these kind of electronics housings and solid, beefy connectors are exactly how I always envisioned the perfect EUC build. 1

Sorted. $12,000 !!!! I've been watching these for a while, never seen a price tag. Also, I've never seen someone start one from a dead stop (until now), or finish their trip for that matter. All their promo vids (6 months since I've seen one) are all mid ride only (like when the nurse says pee in the bottle but only the middle of the stream) If you want to foil board there are cheaper options: No waves where you live? use the wind instead @meepmeepmayer you've got the sailing bug. We need to win the lottery and push this dream away from the dock. Edited March 31, 2019 by Smoother 2

Don't forget VAT for Europe (~20%) and shipping (they estimate that at $1200!). 4 hours ago, Smoother said: @meepmeepmayer you've got the sailing bug. Nah, I just find hydrofoils really interesting. Especially on sailing (=heeling) monohulls where a good shape is still an unsolved problem. But this thing ain't bad as well, and as said, reminds me of a EUC in how you control it with weight shifting and the effortless gliding over the water.

Hunka Hunka Burning Love
The Aquaskipper is only $1000, but maybe not as cool? 2

MetricUSA
Foiling is awesome, you can foil-surf on smaller waves, which is great here on the great lakes, if they weren't so damn cold... HHBL...I have a skipper, did not cost $1000.... I just need a motor, now.... Edited June 15, 2019 by MetricUSA
