NelsonC
Hello, I'm having an issue with my wheel. The valve keeps scratching the inside of the wheel during every rotation and I can't keep it along the wheel. Did anyone face this issue previously? Any idea how I can fix it (but still be able to pump air later on)? I can provide more pictures if needed. Thanks a lot for any help ! Smoother
You need to deflate the tube (mostly, not completely). Break the bead on both side of the tyre, then GENTLY rotate the tyre and tube anti-clockwise (as seen in your picture. This will move the patch where the stem contacts the tube forwards, and tip the valve down somewhat. BE GENTLE. Be prepared to experiment a bit until you get it right. You're aiming for "not rubbing" not perfection. These angled stems are a bad compromise because they come out of the center of the inside of the tube, but there is solid metal there on your rim so the valve is artificially forced sideways to come out of a hole that ISN'T directly in the center. RockyTop
Yes, Smoother is correct. And running it the way it is could damage the tube.
