ShadowWheelin'
Hi everyone, hoping the community can help. I ride a KS18-XL all year long in sun/rain/winter road conditions, at pretty much 42km/h (self imposed limit) all the time, and would like to be better protected in the event of a crash. I'm finding it difficult to source protective riding gear for woman, specifically chest armor. If folks have suggestions/recommendations, that would be really helpful. I'm fine with wearing gear made for men as long as it'll fit a women's chest comfortably. The Leatt 5.5 chest armour looks well built, but I'm not sure about the fit for a woman. I come from riding motorcycles, so I take riding safely very seriously. Thanks all! Edited February 16, 2019 by ShadowWheelin'

Just noticed now a few months later lol I ended up buying this one https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/icon-womens-stryker-vest At first I wasn't crazy about it but now I'm enjoying it more as I get used to the EUC
Paul A
@East Coast Ok EC, good to see you found gear designed for women. CE certified armour has Level 1 and Level 2. Level 2 is better, but Level 1 might be sufficient for EUC speeds. Maybe consider a jacket/pants with CE certified guards/pads for shoulder/elbow/knees/hips protection, as well as protection against road rash. Makes me wonder how fast she was going, if it was on or off road, and how that happened to have more preventative things in place! I still can't get to 10 MPH on my EUC bc of fears of falling. I got the following so far which I don't wear it with the vest unless I'm wearing the guy version which is huge on me even in small https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MKTC22D https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGX2GWX only male version available https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KYSHGJP only male version available in this style
Paul A
Ok EC, great to see you have jacket and pants. Probably at higher motorcycle speeds for injuries as extensive as the ones in the photos. Lower EUC speeds could still be capable of inflicting serious injuries as well though. Videos of EUC riders crashing at maximum cut out speeds, with minimal injuries because they are wearing full protection, shows that it is effective. Getting hit by a car and suffering massive blunt force trauma, is difficult to protect against though.
