Smoother
LOCATION: Edited to remove locational information due to the boards insistence on revealing who is riding illegally DATE: 14th TIME: 1pm to 3:30 pm WEATHER: Partly sunny, very windy (gust to 40mph) DISTANCE TRAVELED: 8mi est. WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: KS16S WHO WAS WITH ME: Neil Diamond, Sting, Malo, and others on my iPod TOTAL DISTANCE ON THIS WHEEL: 1450km? BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Getting out despite the constant high winds of the last week, needed the exercise WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: strong wind gust trying to toss me into the river, no chance sucker RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: If the weather is preventing you from riding, go for a ride anyway. I'm glad I did. Riding in gusty wind is like fighting an invisible jostler (someone who jostles you). That and a washboard trail was challenging, but it was fun. Observations: I recently changed my 2.5" street tyre for a more EUC-conventional 2.5" Chow Yang. Provided to me months ago by @IPS Malta . I took this partly muddy trail to see if my off road grip has improved; it has. Edited July 9, 2019 by Smoother 1

FlyboyEUC
LOCATION: San Diego DATE: 3/14/2019 TIME: 3 pm WEATHER: Sunny DISTANCE TRAVELED: 18 miles WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: KS 18XL WHO WAS WITH ME: Wind TOTAL DISTANCE ON THIS WHEEL: 90 miles BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: found a fellow rider that was riding a 5 year EUC. Been riding for years and never seen anyone else. No knowledge of the forum, no funds for a new wheel. This is the second "ancient" wheeler I've found in SD. WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: almost getting hit by a truck RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: don't zip (fast) by traffic on the right side. There could be a truck turning left. Always be cautious when riding in traffic. Go slow enough to stop in a car lengths distance.

FlyboyEUC
1 hour ago, Smoother said: Honestly, when is it ever NOT sunny in San Diego? The past two months have been pretty miserable actually. I'm talking 58 degrees and overcast with a 40% chance of rain. it's been tough man. California doesn't make jackets/clothes that keep me warm below 60 degrees, not to mention the windchill factor at 20 mph... It has given me a chance to test out the waterproof-ness of wheels though. My first ride to work with the 18XL x/cover was in the rain. I thought to myself, "if my EUC is wearing a wet suit, that makes it more waterproof right?"
Lutalo
LOCATION: Washington, DC, USA DATE: Sunday 3/10/2019 TIME: 12 pm Start WEATHER: Sunny, warm, windy by the river DISTANCE TRAVELED: 50 miles WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: Lutalo -KS18XL; Kachi - KS18L; Jeff - Inmotion V8, @Yanex87 - KS18L; @edwin_rm - GW Monster. WHO WAS WITH ME: See above BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Weather was beautiful. Miles upon miles of beautiful paved trail carving through dense natural forest alongside Sligo creek, and vast swaths of swamps and marshes along the bank of the Anacostia River; an escape from DC without having to physically leave DC. WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: 1. Headwinds 2. Flooding on portions of the trail. DC was fresh off heavy rains. WORST MEMORY/EXPERIENCE: The 18L ran out of range about two miles from our destination on the return trip. Had to return with the car to pick my son where the wheel dumped him RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: Check your tire pressure. Buy a fast charger. My tire pressure was very low; 25 psi when I checked. I endured the entire ride with this low pressure. A more challenging surface would have damaged my rim. Plus, Although I made the entire 50 mile trip, my range suffered greatly because of the low pressure. By the time I arrived home my wheel was warning me about the battery. 1
