Welcome @Olav you are the second, first-time-ever poster on this thread and it's only on page one.  Nice report;  I particularly liked "WHO WAS WITH ME: Mr. N. O. Body":D. Don't be a stranger.   You're clearly not a new rider, having 964km on your Tesla.

@Smoother Thanks :)

Can't take credit for the use though, picked it up from another forum

Started riding the Tesla mid oct, started with a X8 (which couldn't get me to work ).

I like this thread, and think more people should use it, as it appears to be a too much focus on fast riding and injuries (IMHO) :cry2:

Welcome to the forum @uekarashi . Nice report.  Hopefully you will have lots of things to contribute from a Singapore perspective.  I'm out of "ups" today, or I'd have given you your first one.

Thanks @Smoother! I've been trying to find places I can join the conversation, but I have learnt a lot from the forum and enjoy reading it immensely :D I'm not sure about contributing from a Singapore perspective - it's warm and flat here, with plenty of more than acceptable infrastructure \o/ well, okay, there are some fairly heavy handed regulations but that's a post for another topic I think :)

LOCATION: Stockholm, Sweden.

DATE: 2019-02-02

TIME: 13:30

WEATHER: 0C, light snow, slushy roads and wet bike paths

DISTANCE TRAVELED: 35,92KM

WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: MSX 84v 1600Wh

WHO WAS WITH ME: I passed by some dogs and horses does that count as company?

TOTAL DISTANCE ON THIS WHEEL: 263,5KM

BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Watching people ice skating on the lake

WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Still haven't attached my mudguard. Also I pumped up my tire to 22 PSI and it felt so damn hard but I got better range which was pointless because I had 60% battery left after the ride. And a no parking sign which I ignored.

RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: Watch out for the snow/slush on the roads that might yield under your tire and shift you.

LOCATION: Edited to remove locational information due to the boards insistence on revealing who is riding illegally

DATE: 2 Feb

TIME: Afternoon

WEATHER: Mostly sunny, 4*C, windy

DISTANCE TRAVELED: about 20km (I never switch on any telemetry, especially with leather gloves on)

WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: KS16S 840

WHO WAS WITH ME: 30,000 Chinese tourists

TOTAL DISTANCE ON THIS WHEEL: about 1550km

BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Popping into a riverside pub for a flat white ( and a pee) (and watching a bit of Rugby on the big screen while my feet thawed out).  Exploring more of the town and the beautiful colleges.

WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: The wind, and the drive to get there and back

RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: When picking long johns to go under your trousers, pick a pair that has a fly, if you don't want to be rummaging around down there with your wrist guards on, etc.;) Also find a pair of gloves that are smart phone compatible.

I can't get enough of this positivity, so here's another one.

LOCATION: Kallang/Marina Bay/Civic District, Singapore (watch the Relive: https://www.relive.cc/view/rt10003320437)

DATE: 2 Feb 2019

TIME: 12:04 am

WEATHER: Windy, ~28C

DISTANCE TRAVELED: 12.69km says Strava

WHICH WHEEL OR MAIN WHEEL USED: InMotion V5F

WHO WAS WITH ME: My partner, on V8

TOTAL DISTANCE ON THIS WHEEL: 15km - my first ride on this wheel besides practice, yay

BEST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: The Marina Bay area really is quite pretty at night, 10/10 would recommend to visiting wheelers. It was also fun to stop and take a couple of 360 images for Google Maps. Also, first full trip out on a V5F.

WORST FEATURE OF THE RIDE: Finding out that most of the light festival exhibits around the bay weren't switched on. :(

RECOMMENDATIONS/WARNINGS FOR RIDERS: The park is paved with bricks, mind the thousand tiny bumps. 16" and up wheels won't really feel it though, heh.

Edited by uekarashi
amend: not _all_ the exhibits were switched off.

It's people like you that inject the positivity, so please don't think you can only report one or two rides.  Even the same ride on a different day has different positives and negatives.  I for one, really enjoy reading the little details people put at the bottom, and there seems to be a competition for the most creative way of saying "just me" (when riding alone).  I particularly liked "Mr. N.O. Body" from @Olav.  It hard to be funny in a second language, so that made it just that bit more special.

ps Love your warm midnight ride, sounds lovely. Let us know when you do the ride again WITH all the lights blazing.
