that0n3guy
I really wish the 18l could tilt on it's back (when off) and stand upright like my old z10 or v10f. Anyone created a bolt on attachment (mudflap replacement maybe) that does this?
orthodoxmonster
I'm new to EUC's and this community, but I'm working on a bolt on stand. I'm trying to make it as small as possible. So far it's worked fairly well. Here's a link to some pictures. http://imgur.com/a/1vZcpeO
that0n3guy
Something like that is exactly what I'm thinking. If it stuck out too much it could cut you on a wreck. It looks 3D printed. Do you have your files posted someplace?
orthodoxmonster
It is 3d printed, and no I don't have it posted anywhere. I'm still working on it. I'm really surprised that wheels don't come with something like this already built in.
Mimir
There's a secret feature on my 18XL, at least- nice metal screw seats on the *front*. Presumably for the mudflap, but...perfect place to screw a 3d- printed stand on.
that0n3guy
Yup, same on the 18L, that's where I was planning on screwing something

Perhaps I will be able to persuade him to do my 18XL and we video the DIY process for others.👍

It may not be clearly discernable as a stand, but if you look to the left of the photo you will notice the attachment over the mudflap.
that0n3guy
Looks like a combination of 2 brackets and some black thing ... I worry about getting sliced open on a wreck if I used metal brackets.

Maybe, he will see this exchange and post some photos so you can see more clearly how he did it. When you see it in person it resembles the Ninebot one stand. It is just not all times my execution is successful, as with many other things I do. Afterall most of us are mere humans. We are not ment to fly...long distance🙄 The hard part is the landing...I tend to be greaceful ...as an albatross. Ehh ups that wad my beta EUC training... Me and youtube are not friends 🤔. I had a cut off on a v10f at 20mph so I know it sucks. But that 50lb wheel flying at me while I'm on my face needs to have no sharp things sticking out
Blunzn
haven't succeeded in creating a flexible tpu stand but this works quite well on flat surfaces. use some sturdy PETG, Polymax or Nylon filament. normal PLA or TPU were to weak for the heavy XL.
