How real is this? Just a design study? More?

It's kind of ugly, but it's nice to see they cared about proper lights. Now they should care about proper lights which don't shine upwards and blind others;)

Don't know, but looks like the conceptualization stage judging by theΒ 3D render and timing.

Maybe @Jason JiaoΒ can explain (?)

Β

I love the light on top and the downward glance dashboard with speedometer and I'm guessing battery stats (please both voltage and percentage πŸ™)

I'm wondering if that leg padding structure would lift up into a trolley(?)

If that is a 3D rendering it is top notch! The shadow of the pedal depicted onΒ the side panel is perfect.Β

Familiar with render software? They basically do it for you :p I render my solidworks files from time to time, and reflection/shadow is pretty easy. It's getting the texture and look of the materials right that's hard, and of course a good camera view and setting

πŸ€”indeed.

How in the world did they designΒ the V5F or V8 threeΒ years ago, and this now?

It's not exactly bad, but it looks like a cheap plastic generic wheel design. The transparent mudguard makes it nicely minimal, though.

Well, if the specs are right, it's going to find its fans.

For me, the most interesting is that this is the first IM design where the battery is no longer arched over the motor/tire, but there are battery packs to the side of the motor. Which is more flexible for bigger battery sizes on possible future 16''/18'' IM wheels. So not only a fresh IM design, but also a more fundamental design change.
