Holy shit, if my heating technician had insulated my heating pipes like your 16X, I would have sued him, even if nobody would have seen it later. 

Use at least a cutter knife and not the dog to make/tear the small pieces of foam.

Just came back from 24 miles ride.  Wow 16X is a Mt.  Goat... Set a new record to crest 50 min.  Now gotta ride MSX with purpose to beat the time lol.

The 16x surley does eat up them hills with little effort than some other wheels plus the 3" tyre for grip 👍

This 16X surprised me.  I rode ACM2 on same trail, you can do it, with much more effort and much slower pace.  I looked at the photo and realized in such a hurry to ride 16X. I've forgotten to put on the knee pads and right wrist guard LOL...

 I finally achieved 200 km on my second batch 16 X, firmware 1.05. I went to the change speed setting and agreed on two separate pages of fine print disclaimers and safety etc. However, making any changes to the sliders doesn’t stick, rather, it Just reverts back to the 18/19/20km stock setting.  Any changes in the sliders prompts a small caption bubble with a red “x” and “setting_parameter”

Is there something else I need to do?

Download the app from kingsong website,, and login/ register if you haven't already

Btw you only had to do 10km to change speed setting to max😁

Yes, I have the app and am logged in in order to do all those changes already.  The app made me agree to safety terms in going forward with changes which I affirmed.

Sometimes if you don't enter the right combination of values, none of them take.

My tilt-back is set to 50kph. 3rd alarm is at 48kph, and the 1st & 2nd alarm is at 0kph.

Okay, as these things tend to happen - it fixed itself!   In between trying to figure the speed setting out I also figured out how to change from kilometers per hour over to miles per hour so I change that and started riding down the sidewalk and it’s now limiting me to 6 mph.  I couldn’t stop laughing as it  constantly blasted everyone I passed on the sidewalk with “PLEASE DECELERATE’TAHH!”, I mean I thought it funny enough whenever it would randomly do this, but... So two more blocks down the way I found one of my other Wi-Fi hotspots and was able to  look into the speed setting again when I find I can suddenly set the  parameters how I like!

Well... I didn't want to spend anyone more money on this hobby (which is a lie... just brought more armor and Halloween costume for EUC).  So, I looked around the garage and MacGyver-ed it... LOL

This is exactly where I have my speed setting too, I’ve noticed that setting the speed is very inconsistent on os apple devices, so I’m carrying around a Kindle to make changes.

I know we have heard countless reviews on this wheel, however I want to reiterate it’s a fantastic wheel. It gets up to speed very quickly and seems more stable at speed then my Gotway wheels. I have to say I’m enjoying more then my  100volt Nikola at the moment.

‘I have only around 70 miles on the wheel, and loving it. It’s very agile and I’m impressed with the compactness and quickness. I’m running 40 psi on 1.05 firmware. The handle is great for NYC errands, and train travel. The large petals are confident inspiring. I’m very comfortable cruising at 25 mph, and have no need to really go faster then this wheel provides. With all the distracted idiots walking glued to their cellphones and the quality of our roads in NYC and the Northeast I see no reason to be going above 30mph.. (seems like people are a little hung up on this)-

The wheel is plenty fast, and solid.

Sounds like we are very close in opinion (except maybe for the better than Gotway part ) and use of the wheel. 

And right now, I don't think I'm going to change the firmware regardless what they do because the wheel does everything I want it to.  1.05 forever baby

Very easy, KS encourage you to buy locally instead from China. This is to make it possible to get EUC spread and to have dealers that can help out customers in their region, rather than people saving some bucks and KS have to sort out things when people need spare parts and service.

If you are to grow markets you need it to be more accessible not just to buy but also to get service.

Agree with that, but sometimes the prices for the EUC in Europe are very very high, even with 1000$ more than the China prices, so many people prefer to buy from China/Aliexpress, the EUC phenomenon is spreading much faster like this

A few days ago I was changing my wheel to exactly this, and (due to the HQ of the App) accidentaly had the 2nd alarm set to 1km/h... Not surprisingly, that does not make for a pleasant ride.

And for something a little more useful... My understanding is that with the "Voice Speak Switch" on, the first two speed alarms don't do anything and the thrird triggers the "please decelerate" warning. Turning the "Voice Speak Switch" off, means the speed alarms give you single, double and triple beeps (and no "please decelerate"). Also setting the alarms to 0, stops them activating in "voice-less" mode.

EU distributors spend lots of labor cost and time in promoting our brand and products for many years. But Domestic resellers just sell prices within several weeks, without after-sale service or poor service and break our sale region rules for many times. So can we KILL EU distributors when they successfully promote our brand to the markets? Fair and loyal to all distributors all around the world, our Kingsong just keep our words to them. If anyone like perfidious brand, you can blame us if you like. But i am just pround of being work in Kingsong, due to peer value

I shall not hide that I like to save money, but I rather support a good local dealer. Unfortunately imho people are too focused on saving than what the cost of that saving is. @Micheal Shen posted the reason.

This is also why dvd movies had region codes. So this is not a new approach to things. But this is sidestepping the thread, so I will not discuss this here any further.

What a crock of shit 

Local wholsales add 30% and the can afford to keep spares 

I was told by local stockists here in OZ they would not get 16X till issues sorted out 

This post was removed from FB soon after I replied to a wanky response

So I bought through  a Chinese wholesaler 

I am fully aware of the lack of service care I will get and that is my decision

But KS should release an issue free wheel so nut up or shut and deal with their issues
