Gotway Tesla v2 Predictions

Hello EUC riders how is it going..., this time ill like to discuss what you people think GW will come next for 2019/20...  (sorry if my focus goes to the Tesla but is the wheel i own and im in love with that wheel(anyone who owns a Tesla knows the feeling  : ) ), but i thing the topic will be general for news upcoming GW...   from the top of my head -the first thing that comes to my head is that the v2 will go with the same egg shape (some people dont like it but in the personal i like it..), cuz if we look back a bit AcM & Acm2 is about the (look/shape, but not the same internal...) the same with the MSuper, so i really think a T. v2 will go with the same as well, -next thing a v2 will have will be a tail light, and i thing i know exactly where they will put it... -next i think they will squizz some cell somewhere to have a bit bigger battery. -next will be they will start incorporating smart-charge feature the new wheels (i think the MSX already have that but not sure...), and the next thing that comes to my mine will be some lift button/sensor for new upcoming wheels...

what you people think  is coming next?

I suspect that we won't see a Tesla v2. It seems like when Gotway depletes their supply of shells for any given wheel, instead of ordering additional shells, they scrap the model and release a brand new design.

For the 16-inch form factor I think the Nikola will be their 2019 model.

Yup, what @Marty Backe said.

You can see it in the evolution of design (especially when you take apart said wheels), where the ring LED lights progressively move towards the edge:

Tesla -> MCM5 / MTen3 -> Nikola

The Nikola IS the new Tesla IMHO, their new 16" mainstay wheel.

Won't be surprised if the Tesla is EOL'd soon, maybe after squeezing a little more profit with a spec bump, like we saw with the last 2kW "Tesla" motor upgraded "2018(?)" MSuperV3S-whatever-you-call-it.

wow wow wowo wow, i had not idea of the existence of Nikola, just saw a video of it on u2, well i can say... from my opinion (personal) Nikola is like a new wheel line... so im still quite positive on a T .v2 there in the horizon , agree with @RockyTop and well one of my predictions was right (about the new upcoming wheels from GW: handle button:D)^_^

My finger is hovering over the down vote for that comment.   Take it back!!!!  :furious:

Just go to the Nikola page with all the pictures and videos. Keep refreshing the page and looking at the pictures for a day or two. You'll acclimate and before you know it, love the wheel

The MCM5 has the handle button too, in case you didn't know that.

nop i didn't, i think i read somewhere or i saw it in one the 100 videos i saw before buying the wheel... that @Immotion had patented the handle button (or something like that), thats why i thought that GW will come up with something similar...

Maybe @Hunka Hunka Burning Love Could photoshop a hottie in with the Nikola to help things along.

I know!,  I know!, Don’t encourage Hunka :efef585a74:

I think the MCM5 implementation is the best of any wheel out there. It's a huge button that's impossible not to press when lifting the wheel. Unlike the other wheels (Inmotion, KingSong, Ninebot), the MCM5 always engages when lifting the wheel.

@arqfg @RockyTop LOL, don't shoot the messenger. This has been how Gotway has historically rolled out and EOL'd their product lines,.... I am not the one deciding, although I'm flattered if you would think that to be the case.

Either way, I don't see the fuss over the Nikola design: it's basically a big black translucent edge-to-edge ball with LED's.

Yes, the white border rings are questionable, but I can't imagine Gotway won't eventually make these black (after much complaints), just as they did with the funky white on black OG MSuperV3 panels.

All EUC companies implement their handle disengage buttons differently due to this reason I believe:

  • InMotion button, V5/V8/V10 - spring loaded plastic button sensor
  • Ninebot button, A1/A2/S1/S2 - 2 sensors I believe at the edge joints of the semi-retractable lone carry handle
  • Ninebot button, Z6/Z8/Z10 - hard foam under handle sensor, triggered by the upforce depression
  • Gotway button, MCM5/Nikola - large surface, depressible click-y metal button/material
  • King Song button, KS18L/XL - 2 tension metal sensor plates at the base of the trolley sticks.

:w00t2:  Not that I encourage or support wheel-porn :innocent1:, but hey we all need some motivation to go off-road riding.   :whistling:  Meeps, avert your eyes!

I think GW made the right call when they took the road of Mate color instead of Glossy, cuz we all know what happens to the  Glossy staff... but i guess everyone has a choice :D

The Nikola is only for advanced riders who never drop their wheel :whistling:

The birth of a new wheel is always a little controversial.  The first sight of it can tend to elicit repulsion, derision, and dislike, but soon it grows on you just like a new born babe freshly breached into this harsh world.  Sure it might be a wheel that only a hot young mother giving birth naked in the countryside would love at first sight, but soon some of us learn to appreciate and highlight its strengths over its weaknesses.  All hail the Gotway Nikola!  :clap3:  We hope you prove to be a reliable, sporty and safe wheel!
