adampj Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Hi All, Interested in finding out if anyone has been able to insure their EUC or have looked into it before? Based in the UK, I have searched far and wide but closest I can get to is ebike insurance. I guess there are few different insurance areas: Loss Theft Damage Damage to Third Party Property Particularly the higher value EUC's, it would be great to have some protection against theft specifically. Has anyone had any experience with EUC insurance?
Jean eRide.ie Community Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Good topic. The most important in my opinion is Damage to Third Party Property, that can cost more than an EUC if something goes wrong. It is not possible to insure them in Ireland in the similar way as a car would be insured, because registration is needed to get insurance and to get registration some other document that car makers do is needed. Not sure how it's like in other countries. Personal Third Party damage liability cover may be the best option, as long as there isn't some clause that says "it doesn't cover anything out of the normal, like riding an electric wheel"
