I was pretty sore when it first happened and took a couple of days to recover but nothing lasting. Only damage to the wheel seems to be the peddle and even so it actually still rides fine but I will replace the peddle all the same. As it was I was wearing a full length jacket and didn't realise but the tail of my jacket got caught in the wheel and caused it to jam. A jacket-caught-in-the-wheel-crash can also be seen in one of @Tishawn Fahie's videos (where he visits some skateboard company in LA, I believe).
