Adam.
Hello all, I was just wondering how big of a problem counterfeit/fake/clone/whatever eucs are on sites like ebay? I see a lot of ninebots starting bidding at one cent and other branded ones pretty cheap. How can I tell if the product is reputable? Thanks
meepmeepmayer
Never heard of any counterfeit wheel. So they might be scams or have ruined batteries, but literally counterfeit... I think the EUC market is way too small for this to be viable. In general, buy from a reputable dealer (from your country, or a good seller from China). Not sure how ebay etc work for EUCs (for new wheels, of course someone might sell a used one on ebay). Never seen any better prices, just a lot of overpriced old wheels and similarly unattractive offers. Can you give a link to an example? Hunka Hunka Burning Love
Don’t fall for the too good to be true deals. I think some likely send a related part or nothing at all. If you don’t mail it back to China or miss the shipping deadline, eBay might not protect you with their money back guarantee. When hoverboards were popularized, a bunch would appear on eBay for $99 or less with free shipping. There’s no way people were getting them at that price.
