How to not idle over a cable tray ramp

Is that what they are called?

That was my first ks14c crash; newer wheels are incomparably better because their pedal hardness and thicker axle allow you to jump or bounce over such obstacles. No way can you bounce a KS14c over that, at least not without busting something important.

Over this kind of obstacle I don't bounce or jump. I just use my knees and ankles to lead the wheel over the ramp. Still need to work on the technique when going backwards, as we can see.

Luckily you wore safety shoes!

yeah, I do have some fear of getting my Achilles tendon injured from a wheel hit.

But then, during a speedy dismount one anyways has to avoid entanglement with the wheel to not stumble over it.

But yeah, sturdy shoes/boots are quite on top of my list of useful safety gear, all of which I don't wear
