Hi,

i am new to this forum and wanted to ask for suggestions on how to practice riding the ninebot one z8? I’ve never rode a onewheel before but purchased a Z8 yesterday from a local dealer for 7500¥.

I did some basic trainings yesterday night but felt like my legs hurt immediately. I was following some yt tutorials but not sure whether the purchase I made was the best choice for a beginner like me...

Welcome to the best English-language site on the web for electric unicycles . Hopefully you will be able to continue to have access to this part of the Internet world and benefit from the experience and wisdom of this community.

I'd say the overwhelming majority here will tell you to wear protective gear, whether you're a beginner or experienced rider. There are more than 2,500 posts in the Riding and Protective Gear forum that will give you the answers you seek.

Although I am still waiting for the Ninebot Z to become available in the US, I'd say you have made an excellent choice, and the Z may be the best wheel at this time for learning to ride. Just practice and keep the faith, and you will soon enjoy the magic of riding an EUC.

so, today i had the chance to start my practicing riding a euc outside my apartment. I have to say that the beginning was really tough but i was able to ride 50km throughout the day and i am pretty proud about the progress but unfortunately my z8 looks pretty damaged now. It functions properly though. after the 50km i still had 29km left.

all in all i am very satisfied and hope during the next days i can make more progress for doing turns.

it may be too late now, but if you have a strap fixed on the handle when riding, it can save a lot of damage of your wheel. Just hold the strap when it lose control instead of running away and bash everywhere.:cry2:
