Dualtron II EX

@Esper if your ekick does in fact use inner tubes & is a 10" x 2.5" tire, then the 10" x 2" to 10" x 2.5" range of inner tubes are probably what you need, as the 10" x 2.75" Gotway MTen3 can use the same exact size range of inner tubes (remember, rubber stretches).

Oh, forgot to say, pay attention also to the orientation of the valve stem needed too.

Yeah, that one is a 90° angle stem. should be the same as what I have. I'm going to be taking it apart tonight to have a good look at it. Take a few pictures and probably order another one. I'd like to order from a shop that is closer to me rather than paying $50 in shipping from some other site on the other side of the world.

They usually are 90º, just in what plane (parallel to the tire plane, or perpendicular) it comes out is usually the question.

I prefer ordering in advance / stocking up on mutliple inner tubes from AliExpress for way cheaper, don't mind waiting.

Add me to the list as well guys.  I just received mine a couple days ago and finally got a chance to play with it.  Man this thing is a blast.  I couldn't stay off the throttle.  Went 37km until the battery got too low(mostly at full throttle).  Taking it to the beach tomorrow for more play time.  We def need to post and learn from each other...........

Flat Tire Update:

So after about $80 in tools and 6 hours of work, I got the nuts off the back wheel and pulled it out from the scooter. After the first 2 hours of back and forth to and from the store to get the right tools for the nut with the wire, I finally got it off using multiple tools to work it loose and at last remove the hub so I can get to work on patching the inner tube.

4 hours later, I still have not been able to remove the tire from the rims to get to the inner tube. I used wrenches, pliers, flat metal bars, screw drivers, the plastic tire lever for bicycles, and nothing has worked. At this point, due to all the attempts at fixing the damn scooter, I'm ready to sell the bastard. From all my work I've gotten nowhere and have given up for the day, 6 hours and all I've done is make a mess and remove two nuts.

Taking the tire off should not be this difficult. Its like taking a car tire off by hand but i'd imagine harder. I don't know what to do at this point other than to buy a new tire and inner tube and just cut the current ones off with a knife.

If anyone has any suggestions please help because I am out of options here. Also, let me know if anyone wants to buy it.

Edit: Ps: There is in fact an inner tube, I've seen it while trying to pry off the tire.
Edit: Don't pry it off, there are 5 bolts that keep the rims on, take the bolts off and the rim pops off and the tire comes right out.

From the videos I’ve seen, you release air from tire, remove 5 screws from hub, and the rim that contains the “bead” can be removed. Removing this metal “rim” part from the hub allows much easier access to the tube and facilitates tire replacement. I’m sure you have already seen the videos on YouTube for “Dualtron tire” search. Maybe yours is different from the videos...but in any case, I hope this helps a little.

Don't give up! Nothing is easy. Once resolved you will be the happiest and relieved and more cautious.

Maybe this helps? (Note: not trying to be an ass... I don't have one of these scooters, so I don't know if it's that simple or not.) ?

You said you did this part already, but here is removing the rear wheel...

It's hard to tell where you are stuck. Maybe, do a quick Google search and watch a few videos... (Sorry, if you already have but still frustrated.) ☹️

I got it guys. Thanks. And yeah, I realized way too late that the hub splits in half with the bolts. I was trying to pop it over the edge.

Now I just have to figure out how to set disk brakes.

Update.
Saturday around 11 am I left to get tools to take the rear hub off the scooter.
After 3 trips to several shops, I gathered tools to work away at getting the hub off.
After many, many, many attempts and much frustration, I got the hub off at about 2 pm.
At which I tried without luck to remove the tire when at 6 pm I realized that the hub splits in half to release the tire.
I got the tube out the tire cleaned up. Patched the tube, installed a puncture resistant liner, and reinstalled everything.
Brake problem immediately after reassembly. 7 pm
Got the brakes fixed and test drive at 8 pm.

Everything looks good. I have a ton more tools and much more confidence in changing the inner tube now.
With actual knowledge on how to change it with the proper tools to do it, the whole process should take about 1-2 hours. I am just really slow, and didn't know what the hell to do, so it took me most of the day. I don't regret it. But I now have a scratched up rim and rear suspension.

PS: I no longer want to sell my Dualtron. ?

This morning I checked the tire to see how well I did patching the hole. It was deflated. I decided to apply a different patch and took the wheel off again. I got the wheel off and the inner tube out in less than 10 minutes. Man I wish it took this long yesterday.

My wheel.

To get the nut off the side with the wire, I was unable to use the socket so after multiple attempts this seemed the best solution.

Here is what the inner tube looks like, for anyone ordering a new one or a backup one.

This is the 2nd patch kit I used, but it ultimately failed at 9 miles from home to work this morning. (writing this from the office)

This is what my 'wheel bracket?' looks like. After getting the nut off, it was pretty torn up.

Important!!
Don't use or buy this tool as it will be useless and you can't get it around the nut.

This is a follow-up post of my weekend. Sadly, it's Monday and I still have a flat tire. Somehow the patch from above didn't hold either from the speed of the tire moving or the heat it causes. In any case. I've got to figure out what's wrong and see if I can get it up and running for tomorrow. If anyone has a suggestion on better patches to use, please let me know. I'm going to attempt to use slime in my tire (again) and see how far I can make it on my way home today.

Wish me luck.

Edit: I was recently looking online and saw someone link to these patched in bulk,
https://www.ebay.com/itm/48pcs-Motor-Bicycle-Bike-Tyre-Tire-Inner-Tube-Puncture-Rubber-Patches-Repair-Kit-/151724309106?hash=item2353793a72:g:ArgAAOSwMmBVioCA
along with the comments, many of them say they've had upwards of 10 patches on their inner tubes.

I would just get a new tube installed and fill w slime, patching never guarantees success.

I've got Slime at the ready for when the new tubes arrive. I think 4 oz is a little much for the size of the tires. Maybe 2 oz each?
I just talked with some bicycle repair specialist and they said the patch I used was not a very good one. I'm going to try repairing it again tonight with a better patch.
I've got to make the repair last at least 2 weeks until my new tubes arrive. I bought two sized, 10x2 and 10x2.5. I'm thinking about installing larger tires too.

Lol, you're reading my mind. I think I will hold onto this bad boy for a few years, maybe 2. Trick it out. Get some sweet mods.
