Rotciv
Anyone else not noticing the beep with the 14S, especially with wind and traffic noise? Had my first tilt back and I got startled since it was quite jarring. It felt like the wheel tried to kick me off the pedals. If I heard the beep, I would have slowed down. When I started listening for the beep, I could barely hear it. I wonder if future firmware can also use the speakers for the beep and not the voice prompt. The Fat Unicyclist
One of the big issues with "beeps" as an alert is that any speed over 20km/h can become inaudible if there is much wind noise.
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
They should have one of those ambient noise detectors like in some cars where as the car speeds up the volume automatically increases on the radio, but in our case it would be the beep volume. Absolutely! That way also the prompts and beeps wouldn’t annoy nearly as much when at home going for a quiet night ride.
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
Or maybe just vary the volume in relation to the velocity reading.
Rotciv
The side speakers seems quite loud. Send the beep through them. Not only you get louder beep, but you also get redundancy. What happens when the buzzer fails? Hope tiltback wasn’t disabled ?
