Solowheel WIRING - Anyone ?

Recommended Posts

Good afteernoon to all and thanks for reading my topic. Im a proud owner of a Solowheel for 3 years now and im loving it, i've managed to replace the tube but today i was riding and the solowheel while jumping from a small sidewalk just shut down, and didnt turn back on again. I am positive that i had battery charge on it cause i had just charged it fullly, so no light when i push the on button, but when i spin the will i get the charging light signal.

(also when i plug in the charged it goes straight green)

So ive opened the case, and i found it seems theyre a couple wires loose and that are is full of dust, so i suspect it might not be a dead battery......

I was wondering if someone would have the wiring schematic so i could take it to an electrician that could help me find out whats the issue

sugestions are very welcomed

all the best :)

Some photos (you'll need some image hoster like imgur to link them) might help - wirings of EUCs are not really complicated. I'd assume noone has drawn schematics but the manufacturer. (Who's representatives or active here as well, btw

or do you advise should i just take it straight to an electrical shop ?

That's your decision - don't have any idea how confident and experienced you are with "simple" electrics.

The most common problem with the original Solowheel is a dead battery that cannot be recharged because it is below the BMW activation threshold.  This is in part to the design that the "off state" of the Solowheel requires active close circuit across your power switch.  Meaning it uses power continuity across the switch to turn off the wheel, this design can lead to draining the battery in as quickly as 30 days to an nonchargeable voltage.  You can tap into the wiring directly to try to charge a dead pack back up.  If you roll your wheel on a power treadmill, you can also see the LED light come on as well.  But will take you hours on a treadmill to bring it up to a usable voltage assuming none of the cells died from the low voltage condition.

I’ll put my money on a blown MOSFET.  KingSongs use a fuse, but they are the only ones as far as I know.

Have you contacted the Polish distributor?  If you scroll down a ways on their website, it shows they sell Solowheel Extreme.  Maybe you could ship it to them for repair estimate.  https://www.electricunicycles.eu/

Maybe email the photos to them, or link to this thread.  @Justina works there, I think.  She might be able to help you.
