She's been riding for a couple hours in total. Today she improved dramatically on her starts ,control and turns. The dismount technique needs a little more work......lol Awesome! If only we werent social distancing, i'd have tried to get out there to ride with you guys already XD. Hopefully in the summer if things cool down, we can hit some trails!

The man was like "I want to learn to mount without the wall" then he did it and rode across the school lot we were practicing in. This was the end of the session. He was tired and we were heading home, so he decided he'd ride back. Hes like my brother, nooothing like me, haha. But you can probably tell i was proud and overly excited just to see it. He had one low speed fall trying to hold onto the wheel instead of bailing, but you know I forced him to have wristguards on, so he slid, no damage, no injury. Hopped back up and got back on! This is awesome, haha. so fun

Here is the result (to be more stabilized I know, if the post office works correctly, i should have better equipment in a few weeks...): Nice! 'Amoureux de Paname', haven't heard that song in over 20 years, but fits the video perfectly. Are you never worried about riding the KS16X with all the police checkpoints? Is a wheel that can go over 25 km/h not technically illegal now in France?

Concerning police and the 25kmh limit, indeed a wheel that can go over 25kmh is technically illegal in France. So yes I worry a bit, especially because if you are unlucky the fine can be high. However the police has other priorities, and has to prove it, which not that easy for an EUC. Furthermore usually I don't ride very fast in cities, except in very particular situations when i know well the road and there is nobody around or I have to insert myself into the traffic flow. Here is part 2 of this special day in quarantined Paris (coming back from work, ok no additional video without better video equipment) (2mn20s for those who are in a hurry) :

.....
Here's a ride that took me an hour. Someone mentioned a long ride to escape the lock down... heres mine. It only took about 11 hours to upload. It would have taken about 4 days and cost me all my internet for the month in higher resolution, so concessions had to be made. Even at 1080 resolution, I can't watch it back myself for streaming speeds here are terrible. Ooops, background music from the wheel was loud/clear enough it triggered copyright. Good thing i dont monetize or do this for profit anyhow... I made sure to wear my standard safety equipment for all those who noticed. Video contains telemetry data(eucw csv to be exact), tho gps wasnt working so none of that. Edited April 2, 2020 by ShanesPlanet

I do have access to many many miles of unencumbered riding. Many of the smaller mountain roads get closed after recent storms because of the snow and rock debris on the roads.

Popular Post travsformation
Recorded this on my way back from the pharmacy yesterday: our daily 8 PM applause ritual, which started out as a symbol of gratitude to healthcare professionals and has now turned into more of a social event---5' minutes a day where we remember & recover our sense of belonging to a collective that goes beyond the confines of our house. Three weeks into the lockdown, it helps to keep us sane, if you ask me, and more so now that we can actually see each other thanks to daylight saving time. I've seen it every day for the last 22 days, but it never ceases to impress, especially when I happen to be outdoors when it takes place.

Popular Post winterwheel
Did someone say snow? Normally we're at +8c at this time of year but Mother Nature decided to drop a curveball on us. I used to be a decent skier, today was pretty much like having a groomed run down on a decent mountain slope.

As you were enjoying a ride in the snow I was outside raking, picking up sticks and dog poop.
